The Boxing Hare - Oxfordshire

Pete Hickey A Wonderful lunch at The Boxing Hare – We’ll Be Back! Tucked away in the idyllic Cotswolds just outside Chipping Norton, The Boxing Hare is the kind of gem that feels like a warm hug from an old friend. From the moment we stepped through the door of this charming stone-built inn, we knew we’d stumbled upon something special. The rustic beams, cozy ambiance, and that inviting garden peeking through the windows set the perfect scene for a family meal out The steaks are some of the best we have had in a long long time

Falkland Arms - Oxfordshire

shelley spring We had the most wonderful stay at The Falkland Arms. Ernesto and the team were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived. The pub itself is cosy, comforting and full of charm and as a bonus it’s really dog friendly too. We stayed here as we were travelling to see Clarkson’s Farm and it was absolutely perfect. If you’re thinking of doing the same thing, this place is a little gem. The food was incredible, we had the bacon chop, the steak and the chicken gnocchi, all cooked beautifully and full of flavour. Our room was gorgeous, warm and welcoming and breakfast was fabulous, great choice to start the day. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Hannah Folloni Really lovely pub, we got parked right outside the front door which was nice as it was raining. It is very dog friendly with treats for them at the door and the offer of a water bowl should you need it. The service was great and there were very friendly staff that seemed very happy to help. The food was lovely too. Loved the decor, it was very inviting and nostalgic of how a pub should look in my opinion. All in all a very lovely place to spend a few hours. We will no doubt be back.

Harry Ring Have eaten here a few times now and always really enjoyed it. The food has always been perfect and staff are lovely. Its usually quite busy - I guess its popular with people staying at the Heythrop hotel as its the closest pub - but its never heaving. Id say you still need to book, but thats the norm for pubs round here now .

Richard Bryant What can I say, really glad that we pulled in here and took a chance, you just never know, just happened to stumble upon this place, really friendly welcoming staff could not be more helpful! Had the big burger and it was delicious ! They even did a home-made black garlic sauce to go with it. Everything is charcoal grilled on the barbecue in front of you, they have a really good selection as well not just burgers and chips etc. Can’t thank these guys highly enough, they made our day!
