5 /5 Peter Barratt: A Hampshire curry house with a difference, Chennai Express is a welcome change from the norm! South India style, with lovely spice mixtures, and a very varied menu, with lots of vegetarian and pescatarian options. The dosas are great - the size of a roll of wallpaper with delicious sauces and chutneys. The service is great too, and theres an eclectic mix of customers in this cosy but modern little restaurant. Ill be back!

5 /5 Carl Manners: We were recommended this restaurant and it didnt disappoint. Our order was taken by the manager/owner he asked our preferences and made recommendations. A really good point was he asked our spice levels as the dishes could be adjusted. on our first visit our server was Uchit and he was great. It was so good we went back the following week. Another great experience I cant fault the food or service this time we were served by Srinu. Well be back

5 /5 Kath: Such wonderful food and service! Ive enjoyed takeout from Chennai before, but dining-in is a fantastic experience. The decor is very bright and cosy, and the service is impeccable. Everyone who served and spoke to us was friendly and helpful, with prompt assistance offered- always. Every employee exemplifies Asian hospitality to the highest degree. The food, is of course, fantastic. Their garamasala sauce is impossibly rich, layered and perfectly sweet/spicy- I wish I could eat it every day. They clearly use very fine ingredients and cook with a breadth of skill and knowledge. My dining compadre humbly suggests you add meat samosas, or meat samosa chat to the menu. Id love to see your take on it- but trust that the menu is already perfect. I hope you continue to offer such excellent service and food. Many thanks for a wonderful evening.

5 /5 Anupma Aggarwal: We came here to celebrate my son’s birthday. The food, the service and the ambience was excellent. We were served by Shrinu who made us feel very much at ease - we felt like we are dining not eating. Unexpectedly we were also given ice cream and gulab jamun for birthday celebrations which was very much appreciated. Food is best South Indian I have had in south east England. Very much recommended!!
