Corries Cabin - (Near , South East)

3 /5 S B: Second time have used Corries and both times it hasnt been great. Cant fault the staff, they are great, but the food is not good. On our latest order, the chips were hard so had not been fully cooked. Portion sizes were good though. We ordered a medium cod but it was smaller than a small portion at many other places so was disappointing for the price paid. On the previous visit I had a burger which was good, but other than that its been a disappointment both times.

5 /5 Henry Firman: The perfect fish and chips. When I think fish & chips I have a mental image and Corries Cabin delivered it on a plate (and in a teapot). Large cod & chips, mushy peas, bread & butter for a couple of chip butties and a pot of tea. Friendly service, food cooked fresh to order and a lovely moist piece of Cod. Ate in the little restaurant area which was spotlessly clean and airy with large windows all round. Left a happy bunny. Perfect for a quick meal after a day out on the boat. For the quality of the meal I thought it was fair value.

2 /5 Woody Gunstone: Service was fast but prices seemed quite high. Although this is understandable with inflation, it doesnt make up for low quality food. Fish+chips were soggy and whitebait was so fishy it was inedible. Would not recommend.

1 /5 Philippa Oboyle: Have just experienced the worst customer service ever by the red headed lady at the counter this evening. Extremely unwelcoming, a very condescending attitude and rude manner. Furthermore, it was as though she couldn’t wait to get you out of way, even though there were no other customers in the shop at that time. For a renowned fish and chip shop in Cowes, it is such a shame they have staff like that. I will certainly not be going there again!

4 /5 Ricky: Lovely place for fish & chips. A little pricey, but actually good value for the quality you get. Service was very good though, they changed things about no problem and everything was done with a smile. I particularly liked the descriptions for all the food, very funny and tongue in cheek!
