3 /5 Uddin Dewan Shams (Dewan Uddin): Reviewed this place about 2 years ago and was a 5 star review then with great authentic Mauritian food which is very hard to find in London. The restaurant was a family run place with the husband and wife along with their son always on the front welcoming you. So they closed for about a year to refurbish and now have newly reopened, same owners still. I was excited to see them reopen as I missed the food but sadly was left quite disappointed upon trying the food again. When I went in it was served by employees as the original owners were not around and then placed my order and you can see the kitchen and saw it was the employees cooking it and when food came out it just wasnt the same, didnt have authentic flavours, didnt even make me feel like wanting to come back again to eat more. However I thought I would give them another chance and tried takeaway the 2nd time and again the food was just bland. On the positive side they have a large new cake counter which they never had and very good seating which they never had. If you want authentic good Mauritian food then sadly this is not the place.

2 /5 Mei-Mei Tang: I ordered delivery the prawn curry came without any prawns only sauce. It was OK a little bit too spicy for me but OK flavours. A bit disappointing. The maize pudding was not available so they sent alternatives. The cassava pudding was very nice, very mildly sweet.

3 /5 K: We had this a couple years ago and everything banged, the Dhall puri especially. We had it recently and the impression I got was the chef who made it was fantastic but the person working there just got it out the fridge and served it to us cold. There was nobody else there. I’ve had this type of experience a few times here now - good chef, but the others you have in are letting it down. I also don’t understand why they spent money redesigning the logo and creating fancy signage without sorting out the garish yellow walls and red leather booth seating, or the lighting. That combo is an atmosphere kill on its own, but often you go in there and there are more than a few crumbs and bits of food on the floor…despite it being empty. A rebrand indicates a new leaf but there are obviously still old leaves hanging around. It could be sooooo good. maybe it is at other hours. Pls improve!!!

1 /5 Amz H: Very disappointed with the lack of choice on the menu and the lack of flavour. Presentation of food was poor, food was served on disposable plates and the place itself could do with a lick of paint. Below average food and there is definitely better Mauritian alternatives in London.

5 /5 Hassan N: Made a very large order of chicken biryani for 150+ people. Each box of biryani was accompanied with a box of salad, a small tub of chilli sauce and a small bottle of alooda. These are all packaged very well and secure, which is helpful considering the large order. The collection of the items were smooth and staff were helpful when putting them all in the vehicle. The biryani was really tasty and flavoursome. This is also backed up by the all the people who had this too and really enjoyed the meal. The portion of the biryani is a very good amount and filling. The salad box is also generous, which was prepared fresh. The chilli sauce is definitely hot and the small amount is appropriate. The alooda tasted lovely, which had the right blend of ingredients used - good taste and not too sweet. Would highly recommend for some good food and service
