Eco Restaurant - (Near Sutton, South East)

5 /5 Martin Kimber: Absolutely outstanding food. Well on par with far more expensive equivalents in central London. The staff were very hospitable too. The beer was slightly expensive for the area and maybe one or two too many kids (not the restaurant’s fault), but great atmosphere and decor. A stand out gem in Cheam, highly recommend. Also nice that it IS dog friendly (something they could do a better job of advertising).

We are vegetarians so ordered aubergine & burrito pizza, la vita pizza, gnocchi, sourdough bread basket and chocolate brownie...all dishes were so fresh and flavoursome. Even drinks were good too. Portion size is good amd price too. Staff is friendly and ambience is lovely! Highly recommend it...would love to go there again.

5 /5 Qamar Malik: Such a magnificent find! Thank you to everyone at Eco for making our galentines meal so special. The ambience of this little italian made our night out even more memorable and we fell in love with the way they had restored the original flooring and tiles of the old Sainsburys store, bringing history back to life. Our little group needed gluten free meals and the staff happily discussed each course, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the time we were there. The pizzas were a hit as was the smoked salmon and prawn linguine. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend. Xxx

3 /5 Laura: We ordered from the breakfast menu. Chai drink turned up with a lipstick stain on the mug, which was less than ideal (they replaced the drink swiftly, to be fair). Neither of us massively enjoyed the food. I ordered smashed avo on toast and the portion was tiny (see pic). I have strong suspicions the avocado mix isn’t fresh. It was extremely smooth (puréed rather than “smashed”) and tasted like the kind you buy in the shop. Definitely not fresh. I wasn’t a huge fan of the balsamic tomatoes on top. As the portion of toast was so small, the whole thing was very sloppy + didnt taste very nice. My friend got the vegan breakfast and they used enoki mushrooms (asian) rather than the usual English breakfast kind, which was an odd choice. Her courgette fritter was more like courgette tempura. Neither of us finished our meal - £40+ for two below average meals and two hot drinks. It’s a shame, as I’ve been wanting to try here for ages! Staff were nice and friendly though, but unfortunately I wouldn’t go back.
