Finch House Cafe and Bakery - (Near Kent, South East)

1 /5 C Chambers: Visited Sat 21 Feb. Coffee was good, also ordered an all day breakfast. Waited 25 minutes for the breakfast. Coffee had been drunk long before the breakfast arrived, which was very average. For the price I was expecting something special. It was not. I asked the expressionless young lady who brought the breakfast out if I could have some brown sauce. Which was on a small table behind her back. I was told "it is on the table" So I nicely asked, could you just pass one over please, the reply being in a louder voice "IT,s ON THE TABLE" as she walked away. That incident of rudeness means I shall never return to the Finch House Cafe. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told there was not one available. Why work in a restaurant, if you do not wish to be pleasant and help customers? Friends went to a cheaper and much better cafe a few minutes up the street.

4 /5 Fay Hamilton: Nice little cafe.. we visited on Christmas Eve, so not much of a selection available.. but what was on offer, was lovely! Plenty of seating. Clean facilities. Nearest parking would be Sainsburys car park.

2 /5 Russell Cashman: I have been a regular here for over three years, but now, regrettably I will no longer be using it. The food - always used to be good, but lately has gone downhill. The staff who always worked with a smile on their face no longer do so. Prices have leaped, but there has been no adjustment to the menus, so until you have paid you are unaware of the price change. Finch house sadly no longer holds the appeal that it once did.

1 /5 24-7 Electrical: Ordered the cooked breakfast and large cappuccino. Food arrived and for an 11 plus coffee extra breakfast you dont get much. Came too quick with over cooker poached eegs. Told staff they wondered what to do so i said not over cooked. Then they gave my food back without eggs and said all at once. Eggs arrived better. I asked if they always over cooked based on the 1/2 eaten plates not cleared away have people let there also over cooked eggs. The reply was did you ask for ask for runny eggs, week they automatically come poached and its 11 quid so of course runny. Food was cold and its a sheep in wolves blanket. Outside draws in - wimpy would have been better next door. Avoid!

3 /5 Matthew: Extremely average. Staff just plodding along like Zombies. Ordered a toasted ham and cheese croissant- the ham and cheese were a mess on a plate. I did raise but pointless. Can’t be owned by someone that can give it attention. Could be a good place given the limited options on the high street.
