5 /5 Tuxedo Mask: One of the best experiences Ive had in London dinning. We were seated quickly despite the crowd and the busy environment. Free popcorn of course and the food arrived within minutes of ordering which was perfect, no long waits. The steak was beautiful and so flavourful. We ordered sides as well and it complimented the steak really well. I would highly recommend ordering the mashed potatoes, honestly one of the best Ive had in a restaurant. The drinks were amazing and overall I was really happy and impressed. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very attentive to us. And of course, free ice cream at the end. 100% recommend Flat Iron

5 /5 Jihee Lee: We ordered one Wagyu sirloin, one Flat Iron steak, and two sides, which was more than enough for two people. The sides are reasonably priced, but the portions are quite small — even two women could easily finish two more sides. We were given two small cleavers, which we exchanged for ice cream on the way out. The steak was absolutely delicious, and I’d definitely go back again. Reservations are a must! We went without one, put our name on the waiting list, and waited about 30 minutes.

Even waiting at the bar for about half an hour before getting our table turned out to be enjoyable and highlighted how vibrant and in-demand the restaurant is. Thoughtful touches like the popcorn served with the drinks and the ice cream offered on the way out did not go unnoticed. The food was very tasty overall. My only suggestion would be to moderate the pace of the service slightly — it felt a bit rushed at times, giving off a fast-food-style table turnover atmosphere rather than a relaxed dining experience.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is buzzing, yet the service remains impressively personal. ​ ​The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel like regulars rather than just another table in a busy shift. A standout highlight was the immediate arrival of a complimentary mug of popcorn, a quirky, thoughtful touch that kept us happily occupied while we browsed the menu. ​ ​Of course, we came for the beef, and it did not disappoint. The signature flat iron steak was perfectly cooked to a flawless medium-rare. It was incredibly tender, seasoned with just the right amount of salt, and possessed that rich, savory crust that only comes from expert searing. For the price point, the quality of the meat is genuinely staggering. ​The "cherry on top" isnt actually a cherry, it’s the free salted caramel ice cream at the end of the meal. Handing over your little cleaver token for a freshly planed cone of creamy goodness is a brilliant bit of theater. It’s delicious, indulgent, and reinforces the feeling that Flat Iron genuinely cares about the guest experience from start to finish. ​Great vibes, exceptional steak, and those "extra mile" touches that make a meal memorable. I’ll definitely be back.

5 /5 Dimitrios Mavrofridis: We visited Flat Iron Covent Garden as a table of two and waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was reasonable. While waiting, we sat at the bar for roughly 8 minutes — a great setup to enjoy a glass of wine and a Diet Coke. The small touches really stood out, like the wall hooks under the bar and around the main dining area for coats and bags — thoughtful and convenient. Once seated on the main floor (they also have a downstairs level), we noticed a good mix of regular and large communal tables, perfect for both small and big groups. We were greeted warmly, and our waiter Johnny was friendly, fast, and even spoke Greek, which was a pleasant surprise. The menu was simple but needed a bit of explanation — only a few cuts of meat, some daily butcher’s specials, about five or six sides, and one salad option. It was printed on placemat-style paper, which they cleared after taking our order — a nice clean look. We were served a small mug of popcorn while ordering, straight from their popcorn machine — a fun touch. For food, we ordered two sides of chips, a truffled macaroni and cheese, a kale Parmesan salad, one well-done flat iron steak, and one medium rib-eye. Both steaks were flavorful, juicy, and cooked exactly as requested, beautifully seasoned and salted. The chips were the only weak point — a bit too oily and short on actual potato flavor — but the kale salad and truffle mac and cheese were outstanding. The portions were on the smaller side, but the taste fully delivered. The bathrooms were very clean, and it’s worth noting that they also have a wheelchair-accessible restroom — a thoughtful and appreciated feature. Prices were fair by London standards, around the cheaper average range, though the portion sizes felt a bit small for the cost. Still, the quality and attention to detail made it worthwhile. To finish, we were offered free ice creams on our way out — a truly lovely gesture. The cones were crisp with chocolate chips on top, creamy and delicious — the perfect end to a great meal. Overall, Flat Iron Covent Garden felt warm, stylish, and exceptionally well run — fantastic food, kind service, and thoughtful extras that make a difference.
