5 /5 Wiktoria Radkiewicz: Fantastic food, great atmosphere, cannot wait for warmer weather to make use of the outdoor space. I was very satisfied with the food and service, homely and warm! It’s heavy on meats, so I would give menu a read in advance if you’re vegetarian ! While there are some amazing veggie options, they are not as vast! But if you eat meat, it’s definitely a place to keep on coming back - the menu is long, and you’d want to keep on trying new foods !

This family-run restaurant serves up authentic Polish food that instantly transports you straight to the heart of Poland. Tucked away in the back streets of Wood Green, near Turnpike Lane, it’s the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell everyone about, because it’s that special. I started with the traditional rye soup, which was rich, hearty, and full of flavour. For the main, I had the pork shank, and it was nothing short of incredible. The portion size was huge, and somehow each bite tasted even better than the last. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and genuinely Polish; from the décor to the hospitality. You can really feel the pride and love that goes into every dish. If you’re looking for authentic home cooked Polish food in London, this is the place to go. An absolute must visit; once you’ve been, you’ll definitely be back.

3 /5 Sylvia Dobek: The Polish restaurant Zakopane in London had a less than ideal location, with lots of rubbish surrounding the establishment. This detracted from the overall ambiance of the place. The customer service was also lacking, with one staff member in particular making me feel unwelcome during my visit. On a more positive note, the food was a highlight of the experience. The soups were delicious and the portions were generous. The mains were decent, and I particularly enjoyed the lovely local fruit drink that was offered. One area that definitely needs improvement is the cleanliness of the toilets. A nice clean would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience for patrons. Despite some drawbacks, the tasty food made the visit somewhat worthwhile.
