Forbidden Palace Chinese Restaurant - (Near , South East)

1 /5 Valerie Feniuk: I just got my takeaway today it was just awful The chips were just like crispy oil. The food was no better. I had lemon chicken which was like water and we had black bean chicken and that was no better. Will not return there It all went into the bin Would not recommend

2 /5 Jenny Wear: Ordered beef curry, boiled rice, spring roll, crispy seaweed and special foo Yung. The curry and foo Yung were ok..The seaweed tasted good but was disappointingly soggy and the spring roll was inedible (had a really strange overbearing tangy flavour). Its rare for me not to enjoy a Chinese meal but this was pretty disappointing.

1 /5 Jazz M: Please do not order from this restaurant / takeaway. I ordered from them today and ordered Thai green chicken curry along with other items. I dished up my food and went to eat this but thankfully I cut into a piece of chicken before I did as I saw that this was pink and raw. I ordered through just eat where the rating was good however wish I had checked google reviews first because clearly there are numerous issues with this restaurant but this could’ve been even worse if I had eaten anything. I just wish I hadn’t given the food back so this could be given to someone in food standards. Photos attached

5 /5 Julia Johnson: This was one of the best Chinese/Thai I have had. Everything was perfect. It wasn’t salty like other Chineses in the area. I had duck chow mein,egg fried rice, vegetable spring rolls, chicken hong kong style, chicken pad Thai noodles and curry sauce.

2 /5 Skippy McB: I feel bad about this but this is one of the slowest Chinese restaurants Ive ever experienced (and I lived in China for 15 years). Expect to wait 20-30 mins whether you eat in, get delivery or collection. Today was the last straw - we were told 25 mins on the phone and when I arrived 30 mins after ordering they said it will be another 20 mins! 50 mins for two portions of noodles?! If you do successfully get food out of this place, its pretty good (by British standards). If you eat in the atmosphere is pretty dead. I would go to Prithi Raj over the road for atmosphere, or New China (also over the road) for reasonable waiting times. Sorry to dump on a small business, but for your prices you should really consider getting in more chefs and sorting out the waiting time.
