Harry Rock In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. As someone from an ethnic minority background, I’m usually quite particular about food other than my mother’s cooking. However, we visited as a group and ordered a range of dishes — including some tailored to our specific taste preferences — and the restaurant truly exceeded our expectations. Every dish was well prepared and enjoyed by all.

Poons London -

Gatter Gary The just opened Poons takes Chinese cuisine to the next level. In London we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Chinese restaurants but Poons on Waterloo Bridge, inside Somerset house, is stunning on every level. The service was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was warm, welcoming and tastefully decorated with many photos showing off the Poons long and distinguished past. Ive added some photos to show the different dishes we tried. Everything was fresh, tasty, full of flavours and very morish. The scallops were the best Ive ever tasted. The The claypot rice, was recommended by my companion. He is from China and told me it is even better than any clay pot rice he had eaten in China.

Leire G. Authentic Italian food and great value, especially with the lunch offer. My son had the margherita pizza and said it was the best pizza he’s ever had. We also tried the bruschetta, gnocchi with pesto, and spaghetti with prawns and tomato — everything was really tasty. The service was warm and welcoming too. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Sessions Arts Club - City of London

Inger Margrete Hansen Where do I even begin? After years on my list, Sessions Arts Club more than lived up to the anticipation. Set within the grand rooms of the Old Sessions House, the space itself feels steeped in memory — high ceilings, history in the walls, and a sense that time moves differently once you’re inside. The duck pâté and cheese platter were standouts, rich and deeply satisfying, and beautifully matched with an exceptional wine selection. It’s clear that wine here is not an afterthought but a philosophy. Their Lost Wines series captures that perfectly: bottles rescued from forgotten cellars, restored with care, and given a second life. Knowing that the glass in front of you carries a story, only deepens the experience. A truly special evening — and one I’m already planning to repeat.

Doddsy Nice little visit to Jalsha on Christmas Eve, downside first in restaurant at 5pm on Christmas Eve, very cold in restaurant. Service started slow especially when you are the first in the restaurant, but did pick up just like the heating, for me the heating should be on for a period of time prior to opening in the winter months. But all that aside the food was absolutely delicious, well priced for 6 people. Will be visiting this restaurant again.
