GAILs Bakery Temple Fortune - (Near , South East)

2 /5 Thomas Maroulis: Service was quite poor. We arrived 1hr before closing time and ordered coffee and some pastries. Despite telling them we wanted to sit in they served us in takeaway cups. They also forgot the pastries and did not clean the table, despite telling us they would, until they saw us cleaning it ourselves. This is far below the usual level of service for Gails.

3 /5 Sharan Mahtani: Great bakery with variety of sweet and savoury options. Shared the cheese & chive scone, a goats cheese quiche and a soufflé egg, cheddar and spinach slider. The café has a pleasant interior and it was self-service. The food we had was really lovely and reasonably priced. The 3 stars is due to the mix up in our hot chocolate order (got given a mocha instead) and we were not given any cutlery with our food - had to ask for this and was given a plastic set even though we were sitting in which isn’t very environmentally friendly. The toilet was also not up to standard in terms of cleanliness at the time of visit and perhaps needs to be tended to more regularly during opening hours

3 /5 Miriam: Absolutely delicious pastries and bread -- I cannot fault the quality of the food. The coffees are decent as well. Unfortunately, service is achingly slow, and the atmosphere is sub-par. The chairs are uncomfortable, the seating cramped. The Islington branch has a much nicer layout. In short, if you have time to wait for your order and you want food for takeaway I would strongly recommend. But if youre in a rush or want a nice place to sit, Id go elsewhere.

4 /5 Haily: Very busy since they are after all the best coffee place in London. Points to improve - spilled coffee can get your loyal customers dirty. Better to serve a clean one The new vegan sandwich- taste is a bit neutral.

1 /5 wongxy93: Very bad attitude and service especially by the barista Angelica who was rude to my parents and I. Not only did she leave our coffees out to get cold, she served us this version of latte which was vastly different to other ones she made. The coffee was lumpy even though she agreed to remake another one and full of sediments. One cannot help but wonder if this was intentional. Will be feeding this back to the manager in charge. Shame on you Gail’s for hiring such poorly trained staff.
