Stefan Johnson Great flavorful and spicy west African food. Pros: They had lots of different types of west African food really big portions, to be honest one portion conserve between two people at times. Food didnt take too long to prepare and was very attentive even though we had quite a few people at the time (8-9people). There wasnt a safe place to lock up while bikes outside, so the staff member was friendly enough to let her bikes in the bathroom so it didnt get stolen. This was a big plus! Cons: The only thing I can think of is some of the traditional west African drinks was not available even though it wasnt display. Plus you have to pay 50p per container if you want to take the food home, so bring your own Tupperware!

Kay Roots Fantastic, authentic, independent Italian with superb food, great ambience and friendly but efficient service. When we are back in the area it will be our first stop.

Ernestine Armitage Local Love & Laid-Back Vibes – Arlo & Moe, 340 Brockley Road, SE4 Tucked into the heart of Brockley, Arlo & Moe HG (short for Hilly Fields’ “Hare & Giraffe” location) is a neighbourhood café that’s earned a loyal following for its friendly service, comforting food, and relaxed atmosphere. The vibe is bright and cheerful, with mismatched furniture, local art, and a lived-in charm that makes it feel like a second living room. It’s the kind of place where kids are welcome, dogs are adored, and regulars are greeted by name. The menu is simple but satisfying, with a focus on breakfast, brunch, and light lunch: French toast, often praised as a standout Poached eggs, sourdough toast, and bacon butties Homemade cakes, banana bread, and pastries Great coffee, plus teas, juices, and hot chocolate

Paella Shack Walthamstow -

Antonio MartĂn Mendieta Valencian here and loved it!!. We tried the Arros Negre (black rice paella) and we were incredibly surprise, it was sooooo good and also the quantity is great! We also order croquetas and they were delicious. If you want to try typical paella and feel like you are in Valencia, get an order of one of the paellas they cook, you will be thrilled. Also, with an order of 2 paellas, you get a complimentary tiny cup of chocolate (the size is more than enough) and some churros. A win win! The only sad thing is that the one in elephant and castle is not opened on Sundays and thats the only day you can ask for a Valencian paella with chicken and rabbit.

Professionalyapper Wow wow wow absolutely amazing. The food was so tasty and full of flavour. The portion sizes were great and the fish was fresh from the grill. I came all the way from Kent to try this place and my tastebuds were satisfied. The owner was warm and welcoming and made sure that all our needs were met. There was a good vibe in the restaurant with entertainment and dancing. I would happily return.
