Gouqi Fine Dining Chinese - (Near Westminster, South East)

5 /5 Alan: A dog friendly Chinese restaurant, fine dinning at reasonable prices, beautiful interior and classy plate and cutlery. Front of house staff were very friendly, polite and professional, we all had a wonderful dinning experience. As we have a small dog, we were seated in 1 of the 3 theatre like style booth seats at the back, it was lovely, beautiful, classy, cozy and privacy all at once. You can see whats going on with the restaurant and enjoy the decorations and furnishings. We had the some items from the main dim sum menu, the Sunday special dim sum menu and a wonton noodle set menu. There were 3 set menu choices available, fantastic value around £33 on the weekends, which is fantastic value for the money. The 1 we went for was the Wonton noodle set, which include a drink, 8 pieces of dim sum, a wonton noodle soup, and a sweet dessert soup. Amazing. We particularly enjoyed the Truffle Har Gau, scallion Chicken, Wonton noodle, and other dim sum from the set menu, full of flavour and beautiful made and presented. Cocktails in London fine dinning restaurant are expensive, around £15-17 here, taste wise is average here at Gouqi, not too bad, but not great, I would recommend save the money on food. There is a 15% service charge added to the bill, as most top restaurant do. Services were good and i was happy with it. I do enjoy the dinning experience here as a 1st timer, service werent rushed at all like most competitors, attentive enough, could be more, overall still a lovely dinning experience. Overall, I would highly recommended Guoqi, and will definitely visit again to try their Peking Duck and other set menu.

5 /5 Daniela Sheppard: This elegant place just off Trafalgar Square serves delicious Asian food and drinks. We went for the £59 menu that had good choices of dishes beautifully presented and full of flavour. We loved the duck pancakes and the Braised Iberico Pork. And the Scottish Scallops were finger licking good! The atmosphere is pleasantly quiet (no loud music) with a choice of seats by the bar, cosy tables and more private booths. The food portions are decent and the whole dining experience here is five stars worthy. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Jennifyr Y: What a gorgeous looking places with friendly staff. Their set lunch menu options (3!!) are fabulous. Since there were 3 of us we had the most delightful banquet. Terence our smiley Asst Mgr was attentive and gracious and incredibly welcoming. Been 2/3 times before and the first time to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Great value and will come again. Huge compliments to the chef who can achieve such excellent calibre of food. Thank you for an enjoyable experience. We sat in one of the booths which felt rather special too.

5 /5 X: This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and the experience was excellent. The environment was clean and pleasant, and the food was great value for money. My boyfriend and I ordered the lunch set, which included a wide variety of dishes. My favorite items were the mango pomelo sago dessert and the wonton noodles, the broth was rich and flavorful, truly comfort food for me. It was my boyfriend’s first time trying the braised beef brisket with radish, the meat was tender and juicy, and paired with rice it was incredibly satisfying. Lastly, I have to especially praise the glutinous rice chicken and the Cantonese-style shrimp dumplings. The dishes were beautifully presented while also enhancing the flavors, making it a wonderful experience both visually and in taste.

5 /5 Wendy Hsu: We had such a beautiful Chinese fine dining experience in London. The £59 three-course set menu is great value – from the warm herbal soup and delicate scallops to the highlight Peking duck with homemade pancakes, crispy skin and juicy meat. The Kung Pao prawns were perfectly balanced, and the egg fried rice was incredibly fragrant with perfectly separated grains. A refined and memorable dining experience, perfect for special occasions.
