5 /5 Sheena King: When I got to the venue, I was greeted by several friendly and helpful security staff, which made me feel like my visit would go smoothly. In the dining area, I found plenty of seating options and chose a more comfortable spot. At first, I felt a little awkward with the staff, but one of them was very helpful with my sister and friends orders. As my sister and I were about to leave, we were asked about our bills, which was a bit embarrassing for me. This indicated a communication problem among the staff since they should have known the payment was already taken care of. Overall, the food was good; I really enjoyed the pepper sauce, which added flavor without being too spicy. The halloumi wrap was nice as well—simple but delicious. By the end of the meal, I was happily full and look forward to trying the prawns next time.

5 /5 Rens Troost: This is a review of Hayatt buffet, the newly opened Moroccan lunch establishment is in the same premises as the evening Hayatt Shisha Lebanese place but is not the same at all. The lunch buffet is fantastic really delicious and an excellent value. There were two of us and we took food away as well as having quite a large buffet and it was just a bit more than £20. The food is Moroccan, and has a wide range of couscous, tagines, desserts, and salads. I don’t think they serve alcohol. It is cash only. We had mint tea. Unlike the loud and busy environment in this place at night, the lunch buffet is an oasis of calm and the woman proprietor is on hand to make sure everything is to your liking. 5 /5 Ree Ree: Went for a birthday celebration, Not very good first impressions from rude security, but overall, fantastic service, lovely food, mocktails were very tasty. I received very good service from Mumluta, feven, and Abdullah, thank you for bringing out the cake in a big celebration style and making my night positive and enjoyable.

2 /5 OK: recently visited the Hyatt buffet on Camberwell New Road. From the outside, the place looked very nice, the interior seemed beautiful, and the food looked very appetising. That’s why I decided to come back and ordered two takeaway portions for £5 each. They advertise themselves as an all-you-can-eat buffet, but in reality this is not the case at all. When I took two takeaway boxes, I decided that I didn’t want to mix the food. I wanted to put couscous, rice and some vegetables in one box, and meat in the other. One of the staff members followed me, as if she was going to help, but that turned out not to be the case. After we put rice, couscous and vegetables into the first box, I wanted to put meat into the second one. She put just one small piece of beef in it and said that I couldn’t take any more, because I’m not allowed to take only meat. I was confused and said: how is that possible, if you’ve just allowed me to fill one box only with rice and couscous? I simply didn’t want to mix the food. Again, this place presents itself as a buffet — meaning you should be able to take whatever you want, as much as fits into the box. It then turned out that some pastries can only be taken one per type, although this is not written or stated anywhere. I paid for the salads separately — £3 per box. She tried to stuff more cabbage salad into the box, didn’t let me serve myself, and overall behaved in a way that looked very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Lebanese restaurants are usually known for their hospitality, but unfortunately not in this case. Honestly, it felt like if you eat there, someone would sit and watch you to make sure you don’t take an extra piece of meat. So please don’t call yourself a buffet — or clearly state the rules and say that everything is limited to one item.
