Kamal’s kitchen - (Near Berkshire, South East)

5 /5 Bluejacketguy: This was my first time ever trying a Nepali-style restaurant and I must say, I could not have asked for a better first impression. The atmosphere is a small, quiet but intimate setting and it seemed EXTREMELY inviting. The overall food was amazing, it really fit with the cultural and divine mood of the entire restaurant. Finished every piece of food on my dish, it was extraordinary. However, the BEST of all was without a doubt the service. One of the waitresses worked like she had years of experience. Her charm, humour and friendliness really was the cherry on top. Finally, the owner was incredibly respectful and polite to me and the rest of the customers that were there. Well and truly one of the nicest, kindest people I will ever meet in my life. 5/5.

5 /5 Alipoodle M: Me and a friend decided to go for a bit of an experimental try and enjoyed the place. A few points of note: - There wasnt any way to reserve a seat at the place visible on their site (even just phoning them); so we came at a quite time with no troubles. However, by the end of our meal it was full to the point where we did need to pay our bill to give up our table for another group of people. As we were leaving it was mentioned that they are planning on adding an online booking system. - The menu was vast, but for a first time experience can be a bit overwhelming in regards to what you want to eat. We were given some good advice for what we should do. Either 5 small dishes/Momo or 3 sides/mono and a Set (collection of things) and did well for the 2 of us eating to share a wide variety of food. - The food is typically on the spicier side. Im not that bad with my heat, but my friend was definitely sweating a bit with all the food, so pick wisely or feel the burn of some of the foods you can pick. - As we were the first customers for the night they did crank up the Heating to 25 degrees, and along with the hot food I did feel a little too hot while in the place. Overall this was a really good experience to try some Nepalese dishes just outside of Reading centre. With the wide range of food we tried, I do plan to come there again, hopefully this time being a bit more prepared for the heat of the food.

5 /5 Britney Scott: Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I’ve been a couple of times now, and it has been amazing every single visit. The staff are genuinely wonderful, so welcoming, attentive, and friendly that they make you feel at home right away. The food is outstanding, easily the best Nepalese food I’ve ever had. Every dish is full of flavour and clearly made with care and pride. You can really feel the passion behind both the cooking and the service. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back again.
