Kennys Menu - (Near , South East)

Chris Berry In 2001 a cookbook was published that totally crystalised my love of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Written by husband-and-wife chefs-patrons Sam and Sam Clark, it entirely captured not only the dishes they had encountered in their extensive travels, but also those they served in their beautifully unpretentious restaurant Moro, in Londons Farringdon. My partner and I first dined at Moro in 2010 and loved it, and on a recent weekend trip to London to celebrate my partners birthday we felt a return trip to the restaurant was well overdue. It did on disappoint. From the outset the service was warm, friendly, and efficient. The vibe of the restaurant could be described as "warm-minimalist", being stylish, clean, and uncluttered, but with comfortable furniture and decorated with a colour palate that draws on the places Spanish/Mediterranean focus. However, the absolute star of the show is Moros food - and drink! My starter of beetroot soup with black cumin and dill yoghurt was packed with earthy spicy flavours, perfect for an autumn day. A main of wood roasted pork belly with trinxat, crispy pancetta, fried turnips and sherry vinegar, was beyond delicious, with the richness of the succulent pork being perfectly balanced by the sharp-sweetness of the sherry vinegar. And the dessert of Malaga raisin ice cream with Pedro Ximenez sherry was divine. My partners choices of cuttlefish with chickpeas, wood roasted lamb shoulder with romesco, and rose water and cardamom ice cream were equally delicious. Paired with a couple of aperitifs and an excellent bottle of red wine from Alicante, our lunch was simply splendid. Sure, there a few young pretenders on the block, but there is a reason Moro has been around for a while, because with service, atmosphere, and food this good, its a restaurant that is very hard to beat.

Keith ORawe Unfortunately i was on crutches and left standing at the door for a while waiting to be led to a free table, of which there were many. Lots of staff walking past without any acknowledgement. However, once seated, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered a coffee before we saw a menu and was not asked if she wanted a large or small. Needless to say, she received a large more expensive one! We waited over 30 minutes for our BATS. The food was very tasty. We would visit again.

Mike Bishop What a fantastic place. Beautiful food (get the French Toast!), lovely staff, and just a great vibe sitting directly next to the aerodrome watching all the old rich white dudes fly their microlights and helicopters. We will absolutely be back again for the cake, which looked like huge slabs of deliciousness. Apparently they deliver, and Im glad for my waistline that Im not local.

Lisa Brown Absolutely amazing, friendly & the best tacos we’ve ever had! Me and my boyfriend often check where these guys are on the regular to get our taco fix! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!!! So good that if you’re not fast enough they sell out!!

Kinzo Baba One of the best Nigerian restaurants in town. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the music is fantastic. Keep up the great standard!

Houssam Selma I just want to say a huge thank you to Ben, the owner, who’s been an absolute gentleman! I recently hired the downstairs venue to host my partner’s baby shower and birthday, and the staff were nothing short of incredible. Big shoutout to Fred and the whole team for making the day so special! We had such a wonderful experience — everything went perfectly — and I honestly can’t wait to hire the venue again. Ben, you’ve created such an amazing place with fantastic service. Until next time!
