3 /5 Jake Roscoe: We’ve been debating whether to post this or not, but we believe in honest feedback for a new establishment to improve where needed.
The concept is v cool. Owner is lovely and we had high hopes for this place off the back of reviews and the ig hype.
Not sure if we caught on a bad day but the food was mid at best.
We’ve tried many focaccia sandwiches across Ldn and Italy and we weren’t impressed with the quality for the price point.
We visited on a Sunday lunch time. The sandwich was already made and boxed when I ordered. Not a good sign.
Bread tasted like it was yesterday’s. Stale and cold. There was no crunch and looked shop bought. The mortadela looked like it had been taken straight out of a packet and placed on the sandwich rather than a freshly sliced uneven look from a slicer. Good burrata but again you can get this out of a pot and put it on.
Ordered the Pistacchiosa, which was recommended by the owner. For ÂŁ9.45 we expect good fresh bread at the very least.
