1 /5 Anja Schwark: We chose the Signature Menu and the first few dishes showed real promise. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended. Service was disengaged and inattentive throughout. Food was delivered in batches and simply piled onto the table — hot and cold dishes arriving together, meaning hot plates went cold while we were still eating sushi. No one checked in. No pacing. No attention to the flow of the meal. The mains were unacceptable for a restaurant at this level. The salmon was completely overcooked. The ribeye with chimichurri was so salty it had to be sent back. Basic execution shouldn’t be an issue at this price point. The music was so loud that holding a conversation was difficult, which suggests the focus is more on creating a scene than a dining experience. The view is impressive — but a skyline can’t compensate for poor service and careless food execution. It felt more like a backdrop for social media than a restaurant genuinely concerned with its guests. Not somewhere we’d return to.

5 /5 Marie Henke: My partner and I had an amazing time at Lucky Cat Bishopsgate this evening. Our server Guido had impeccable knowledge about gluten free options and made our whole dining experience incredibly seamless! The food was exquisite too. Personal highlights include the salted edamame, yellowtail tartare, sushi, scallops, and the chimichurri that comes with the ribeye. The egg fried rice was insane and most likely the best Ive had anywhere and the soufflé for dessert was incredible too. At times I noticed the relatively loud volume of the music but overall it added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The views are of course incredible. Petition to make the black cod GF friendly again!

2 /5 Ekaterina Popova: We visited Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay recently. Overall, the food was quite good. The fish was fresh, the wagyu tataki was decent, and the rice dish was rather tasty, but too much spicy. The desserts were actually excellent — probably the highlight of the meal. However, the broccoli side dish was extremely salty and covered in too much sauce, which made it quite unpleasant. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff were polite and friendly, but the organisation was poor. When we arrived, we weren’t seated at our table straight away and were moved around without any explanation, which was confusing. When I asked the hostess if we were seated at the correct table, she responded with “Why should I know, why are you asking me?”, which felt strange and unprofessional. There was also a billing issue: we were charged for chicken, sashimi and coffee that we ordered, but never received. That said, the atmosphere is fun and the place has a nice vibe. On a sunny day, it could be worth visiting for the view, fresh sashimi, or desserts. But if you’re looking for a place for a truly great dinner with attentive service, there are probably better options in London.

5 /5 night owl: Having watched the Netflix documentary I was intrigued to experience Lucky Cat. It turns out experience is exactly the correct word, from the moment you walk into the building there is a sense of theatre and occasion. The restaurant itself immediately impresses with customer service and spectacle - Gordon promises a wow factor and it truly delivers. The food mercifully matches the expectation the environment creates. Particular highlights were the crispy squid, Gordon’s fried chicken and the French toast desert. The GFC was simply the perfect textural and flavour combination while the French toast with yeast ice cream was decadent and delicious. Gordon’s psychotic attention to detail is woven into every aspect of the experience. Particular mention to our waitress Anna-Marie who was exceptional - friendly, genuine and attentive. My only regret - I don’t quite have the spending power to bring the whole family as this was an experience that deserves to be shared. Oh and if you’re a bit of a loser like me you can also purchase a lucky cat souvenir.

5 /5 Ella Travels: I recently celebrated my birthday at Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Bishopgate and it was truly such a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed and well taken care of. A special thank you to Chef Nude and Chef Nuji for the complimentary dishes — such a thoughtful and generous gesture that made my birthday celebration even more special. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Huge appreciation as well to Luca and Shabeeb for their warm, attentive, and friendly service throughout our stay. They made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Thank you for making my birthday celebration unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!
