Napiers Kitchen & Bar - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

5 /5 Kenneth Lee: Food is outstanding here and easily one of the best meals we have had in England so far. We had the prawn pasta which boasted of fresh prawns and a tasty base, as well as the fish and chips which had really delicious fries and juicy fish. There is also great finesse shown with the technique and herbs chosen. I am only staying a night at the hotel and wished I could stay one more night to try the other dishes for dinner! Well done!

5 /5 Steve Bell: Ate at Napiers while staying at the beautiful Oxford Thames Hotel and I just had to write separate review for the newly opened Napiers. All the staff were lovely and helpful especially Mihai the restaurant manager who was extremely knowledgeable with his wine parings. The food was the single best hotel food I have ever had. Michelin Star worthy food for a fraction of the price. The presentation, flavour profiles and execution was all flawless. Cannot wait to go back and will probably be making it a common occurrence!

5 /5 Owen: We were staying in the hotel and werent sure what to expect, but our meal was excellent! Perfectly cooked risotto and fish and chips that were more than worth the money for the quality. The service from start to finish was some of the best I have had eating out, attentive, polite, but without being too much.Yarina was especially good and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend eating here.

4 /5 Stephen Atkins: Generally good but our experience was mixed: the wild mushroom pie, pan-fried bream and haddock & chips were very good, however the "tomato linguini" was not - there were so many black olives it should have been called "black olive linguini" - and didnt get eaten. Service is excellent, even when busy with a wedding reception and the atmosphere was good with the tables being reasonably spread out. Average spend for two courses + wine was £50 per head. BTW, escargot and duck breast were not on the menu.
