3 /5 Varsha Sokal: UPSTAIRS PRIVATE HALL I’ll break it down… Entrance ~ First impressions count. If upon entering you are welcomed by dirty walls and floors it’s a great way to put your guests off. Stairs ~ Same as above. Shoddy painted woodwork and paintwork on walls. Scuff marks everywhere. Hall ~ Very nice space for small events. Decor was typical of the floweresque theme running everywhere at the moment. However the dirty plain wall littered with tape, blue tack and glue strips ruined it. Floor ~ Gum stuck on the floor??? Inside??? Toilets ~ Well the less I say the better? No, I think I will elaborate. If you can’t keep the washrooms clean… what is going on in the kitchen? You spend so much on decor and good food why not invest in proper training for staff on thorough hygiene in this area? The biggest ICK ever! This goes for all you other restaurants reading this. BIG ICK! Chair pads ~ again filthy! You’re expecting your guests to sit down in clean clothes on the most dirtiest chairs? No no no - again unacceptable. Postitives ~ Nice little hall for small events. Good decor on two walls. Good lighting. Great starters mains and dessert was yummy. Staff were excellent! No bad attitudes from them and very friendly. Fab job staff ~ keep up the great work.
