3 /5 What you need to know!: Overall: Food: Pies Small run down pie shop in Putney. This is not shabby chic . It’s just shabby. Tired, tatty and makes a mockery of guests by serving salt and condiments in cheap little packets. Portions are small and staff indifferent. They had no clue what fish is in the fish cakes or what some of the ingredients the pies contained. The pies are small and not good value. This place needs to up its game and those who have rated it highly need to eat out more and see the difference. What I liked: • Not much to be fair What I didn’t like: • Indifferent service. • Cheap condiment sachets and packet salt and pepper. Utter rubbish. • Portion sizes. Do I recommend going? NO Will I go again? NO Was it good value? NO Price Point: $$

5 /5 Christina Minshull: Putney Pies is proof that “pie” should be its own food British group. Fresh, golden pastry that flakes at the mere suggestion of a fork. Fillings so rich and deeply flavoured you know the chef’s been slow-cooking them since Tuesday. Every bite hits that perfect balance… buttery, savoury, just enough indulgence to make you forget you’re technically still in London and not in some countryside pub with a roaring fire. This isn’t just comfort food. This is comfort food with its sleeves rolled up, freshly baked and unapologetically proud of itself. If you’re anywhere near Putney and not eating here, I have questions.

5 /5 Sum Sze Tam: Had an amazing evening at Putney Pies for Sunday dinner with friends. We were looked after by Pippa who could not have done more for us - made sure the heating was turned on, gave us the warmest table in the basement, so kindly and thoughtfully wrapped up our leftovers in not only a box but also cling film. That on top of looking after all of the other tables by herself. Food was amazing and felt good for the soul. The gravy incredibly flavourful. Their open top pies are huge and very generously filled, I had the fish pie which was super creamy and chock full of fish. All in all a top evening

5 /5 vikki baker: We.had a craving for pies ans mash so we dropped in on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised by the patio and vaults downstairs. I had the beef borg which was delicious a d tender. My partner had the steak and ale pie which was filled to the brim with hot brisket style beef. Every plate comes out picturer perfect a s piping hot. We had the Mac and cheese balls which were very tasty I like mine with hot sauce like a weirdo. The staff and service was on point. We will definitely be back, next time with extra gravy tho.
