Mes V Great time out with the family. About 5 other people in the cafe when we, a group of 8, showed up. Waiter took our orders and food showed up soon enough. Portions were large and food cooked through and tasty. We ordered dessert too and that was tasty and came in good time although one order came slightly later. Toilets are upstairs though so not accessible to wheelchair users. Parking can be found around the cafe, we parked up at the local leisure centre which was about 5 mins walk away. Prices at the cafe were fair considering its location and demographics. We visited during Barking Market day (Tuesday, also on Thurs & Sat) so busy outside but inside it was quieter and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle outside. Its also about 10mins walk from Barking Station so helpful for those families travelling on tube etc. Staff were friendly (not overly familiar or smiley), professional and got down to serving us with aplomb. Nothing too much for them. One of our party spilt a drink and we had to move tables due to the mess, but we werent made to feel like we were an inconvenience or silly, floor was mopped, table wiped and back to business as usual. Brilliant service! Really helpful people, thank you for having us!!

Romain Prodhomme Very tasty, fresh food!! We had club sandwiches and smoothies. So good!! Maya was very sweet and attentive, even though she was on her own during a busy hour or so. Her level of service and the quality of food was still top notch. Highly recommend!!

Cheryl Law We decided to try this The Squirrel Inn as our two local favourite restaurants have let us down on poor quality or missing items consistently over the past few months. When we go out we really do appreciate the quality of the food and the service. I had the Lamb shanks which were to die for. This was served in a good proportion but it was a little too much for me. No worries though ......... my better half had no quarrels on helping me out. The mash was great and the veg was cooked to perfection. My partner has the pork belly and he was impressed as I was. The only thing that springs to mind is that the service was so fast they never delivered the bread basket (which we ordered on arrival ) but we really didnt mind as the food was so good. I wish I could managed a dessert as they sounded amazing but are not advertised on the website. The serving staff were polite and friendly, we didnt need to book which was a bonus.The seating person was friendly and accommodating allowing us to choose our table. We will be back again.

Shankar Dhakal I recently celebrated my 51st birthday at Buddha Restaurant with nearly 90 guests, and the entire experience was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided a warm and attentive welcome. The drink service and overall hospitality were truly second to none. The restaurant owner was incredibly welcoming and very accommodating to my changing needs on the day, which made the event even more special. The food was fantastic — every single guest commented on how much they enjoyed it. The atmosphere, enhanced by the serene Buddha statues, created a calm and beautiful setting for the celebration. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue or service. Highly recommended for anyone planning a special event!

Hannah Louise I have eaten here on a few occasions now & I can honestly say it’s some of the best food I’ve ever had! The hash is hands down incredible amongst the nachos and many others, the roast dinner is also one not to be missed, I’d recommend the beef. The atmosphere, staff & overall vibe cannot be faulted.
