The Anchor - (Near Bexley, South East)

5 /5 Ceri Burns: We chose to hold my dad’s wake at The Anchor, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely supported by Paul and his team. On a day when you just want everything to run smoothly, Paul immediately put us at ease. From the meetings before the wake, nothing was too much trouble. Paul took the time to sit with me and my mum on a couple of occasions to make sure our ideas were listened to and taken into account. The bar staff were welcoming, and thoughtful towards us and all our guests. So many people commented on what a lovely pub it is, and those who live locally have said they will definitely be visiting again. We didn’t get to say it on the day, but we’re very grateful for the care and compassion shown to us on such an important and emotional day. Thank you!

4 /5 Kevin Saint: Went for a late lunch in the week. Pub was quite and served quickly. Food was ok, chicken strips was the highlight! Found the mini hash browns very Saltley. Good choice of 4 different lagers. Young lady behind bar polite and friendly. Dog friendly. Nice big garden. Will return to try the Sunday roast.

5 /5 sandra deacon: Family Christmas meal for 9. Was a bit apprehensive at first. We had a brilliant time. The food was lovely. The staff and manager. Wow I take my hat off to them. The place was packed but they did a great job. The singer was very good but as we were near had a bit of trouble talking. Would definitely recommend this pub.
