5 /5 Lisa Guest: If you find yourself in Newport, walk down to the harbour to The Barhemans Rest, you wont be disappointed. Such a great position, plenty of seating areas outside and in. It was quiet, but still had a lovely atmosphere. The menu was good with an excellent selection, to cater for most tastes. There was also a good choice of drinks from the bar. The staff were very helpful and polite. The pub was clean and tidy, with a great decor which suited its surroundings. Our food arrived, well presented and looked as described. I had the home cooked Ham Sandwich, it was delicious, thick cut and moist. A most enjoyable lunch and excellent value for money. Im really pleased we decided to explore Newport. This pub is definitely worth finding.
