The Blue Crab - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Rachel Scott: This is possibly one if not the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!!! I am very fussy and particular about fish & chips, I am happy to write that they have fish without skin on which seems to be impossible to find in the south of England. The staff were very sweet, helpful with advice on portion size. Great customer service even though they were busy (just being good at communication how long it would take for food to be ready). The batter was very crispy and the cod was perfectly flakey and I felt like I could taste the sea. The chips perfect. Also got a portion of potted crab which was perfect combination of white and brown meat. I hope the length of this review shows how highly i thought of this fish and chips!!!

5 /5 Simon Bartlett: Excellent chippy, all cooked to order. Good fat cod and proper chip shop chips. I also love the pea fritters and curry sauce (stronger than many others). Well worth trying.

5 /5 julian clarke: Poppoed here for lunch. Great to get free parking for 1 hour nearby. I bet that helps the local businesses. We ordered battered sausage, chicken burger, I large chips, 6 mozzarella sticks and ketchup. It came to £20.75. The service was very polite and the wait for food was no more than 10 minutes. Its obviously cooked fresh to order. There was lots of people sitting in the restaurant and a constant stream of customers getting takeaway. The place looked clean and tidy. There was a large selection of cold drinks and salt and vinegar everywhere to add to your food.

4 /5 Meeta channel: Had a lovely meal at Blue Crab. Had haddock chips white bait and scampi. All was cooked perfectly and super fresh. The tartare sauce was absolutely delicious. Parked in local carpark so could spend time in town. Staff appeared a bit frazzled but the customers and food made up for all.

4 /5 Sarah Blake: We were told on ordering that there would be a wait of an hour. We happily went to the pub to wait. Returned 55 minutes later to be told they were running late. 45 minutes later our order was ready. Luckily the cod and chips were delicious. Skinless cod that was cooked well in a crispy batter. Chips were on the right side of crunchy. So be prepared to wait far longer than you are told even if you order online.
