5 /5 Tat: We stumbled upon this cute pub whilst driving through the South Downs National Park. It was lovely to dine by the fireplace. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant, and really went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The pub is dog friendly - there were lots of cute well behaved pups around. The pub is very cosy and the menu is more exciting than a regular pub. We had a fish and chips and a banoffee dessert as part of a set menu and both were divine. The fish batter was very light and crispy, and their take on a ‘deconstructed’ banoffee pie really on point. Would recommend and I’m looking forward to return. They also have Long Man Lager on tap which is a bonus.

5 /5 Twinkle _G123: The food is Outstanding, Pet friendly and has a charming atmosphere. Very good for a dog walk then pub with parking in the public car park and walking up over the hill and down past the church about 45 minutes.

5 /5 Marie Burgess: We were a group of 10 visiting to celebrate 4 birthdays. The staff were incredibly friendly and very welcoming. Connie looked after us all evening. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the food, flavours and how it was prepared. Everyone loved their food, amazing flavours and beautiful presentation. The 4 birthday girls were each given a mini dessert to help us celebrate. We will be returning.

5 /5 WB52: This pub serves excellent local ales and good food. The staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. Dog friendly throughout. Limited parking, wheelchair friendly. Booking recommended - even in January.

5 /5 Sharon King: Absolutely love this place. Had our first visit today and in terms of ambience it is a traditional, friendly country pub. Pet friendly too which I love. Now onto the food. Speechless! Hands down the best roast dinner I have ever had. Presentation and flavour were 5*! Service was impeccable and a great wine selection too. Cannot wait to visit again!
