5 /5 Janice A: We dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, and although it was busy and we hadnt booked, the staff were very accommodating and found us a table. The food was excellent: margherita pizza for me, and burger & chips for my partner (gluten free!). Speedy service, lovely staff, great food.

5 /5 Kendhal Doggett: Had Sunday lunch here for a family birthday. We had the sharing platters between 7 of us. We’re big eaters, but has to succumb to a box for leftovers as there was just so much food! It was absolutely delicious, every part of it. The staff are fantastic, so friendly, welcoming and had a good laugh with us. The service was quick, but not overbearing. There’s nothing I could fault. I will certainly be back. Thank you all x

5 /5 Emperor Penguin: Managed to squeeze a couple days annual leave past the powers that be & get away for a couple nights, staying just 5mins away at ‘Daweswood Cottage’ the most lovely of Air BnB’s, complete with hot tub and hammock! Anyway, hungry & in the market for somewhere to eat I stumbled on ‘The Hare’ somewhat by accident & what a result that was! Turned up mid service in the evening, not having booked, to a warm welcome by bar staff having got space in the car park and more importantly they managed to get me a table in the restaurant. Looked at the menu, & spoilt for choice, decided on their BBQ burger with pulled pork cheese and coleslaw - what a burger! Genuinely quite possibly the best burger I’ve had, & I’ve had some burgers! So good in fact, I went back the second night to try their pizza which was also fantastic. The chef & co-owner Matthew clearly genuinely cares & came out half way through to check all was good with the food, something you never get anymore! Got talking to him the second night & what a genuinely nice chap, well traveled - hence the themes - and has been in the trade for decades showing through in how good the food is! Doug.

5 /5 A. Maiorano: Can’t recommend enough. We arrived out of service hours yet they went out of their way to accommodate us. Running to catch us at our car to tell us they can stay open for us. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Pizza and dough balls were unique and scrumptious. All staff were so sweet and obliging. There was even a bouncy castle in the garden. Beautiful view of the sunset while we ate. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
