The Jumeirah - Beckton - (Near Lewisham, South East)

4 /5 Zaki “The Reviewer”: When I walked in, the reception team greeted me right away, which was a nice touch. They took me through to the restaurant, and the vibe was really nice tropical feel with a beautiful feature wall. The food was pretty average. I ordered the lamb chops and the hot grill with chicken and dynamite wings. The menu said five lamb chops, but I only got four at first. They fixed it once I pointed it out. I also had a mango drink that looked great but wasn’t very sweet. The food came out in about 15 minutes, so service was quick. I think the place has a lot of potential, I just wish the food had more flavour. On the bright side the customer service was on point and there’s plenty of parking out front which is super convenient. Cost around £64 for two people which isn’t bad for grill.

5 /5 Asad Ali: Food was excellent. Not too spicy but extremely flavourful. Lamb shank cooked to perfection and came off the bone, great size and massala sauce was fantastic. Prices are reasonable and free car parking. Excellent selection of non-alcoholic mocktails. Definitely worth the long drive. Will visit again.

5 /5 Jasmine Miah: We visited The Jumeirah l for a family dinner on a Sunday evening - our first time there, and it was a really lovely experience. The restaurant is very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere - perfect for a relaxed family meal. I opted for the lamb shank, which was huge, tender, and full of flavour - more than enough to enjoy and take some home. For dessert, the Biscoff cheesecake was delicious and a sweet way to finish the meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The service was smooth and efficient, adding to the overall enjoyment. It’s also great to know that they cater for functions, and there’s plenty of parking available, which makes visiting even easier. Overall, a wonderful first experience — generous portions, tasty food, and a cozy, well-presented environment. Definitely a place I’d recommend for family dinners or special occasions, and I’m looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu!

5 /5 Nishaan Sukdeo: The staff is super friendly and restaurant is very cool. Food is sublime! Everything on the menu tastes amazing. I eaten there a few times and each time a different dish (plus sampling others food). Its all so unique and every dish is a hit. Its impossible to say one is my favourite from the list. Trust me this is high praise. I love it!

3 /5 S A: Visited The Jumeirah in Beckton as a group of seven with a pre-booking. The place has a funky, modern décor which gives it a nice atmosphere. We ordered a mix of starters and mains — king prawn puri, lamb chops, butter chicken, naans, and mixed grills. The food was decent all around; no one had any complaints about the taste or quality. However, during our visit, we only noticed 2 or 3 staff members handling service. As it got busier, it became clear that they were short-staffed, which affected how smooth the service felt. That said, the waiters did their best, stayed polite, and kept smiling throughout — full credit to them for that. One odd point — when I asked for a paratha (even though it’s not on the menu), they couldn’t make one, which was surprising for a place like this. On the positive side, they kindly offered us space in the catering area to pray, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable evening. With a bit more focus on staffing and adding some simple menu items, I think The Jumeirah has great potential to do even better.
