Alexander Balanescu Phenomenal experience. Understated luxury. A lot of thought have gone into making the stay unforgettable. The location of the hotel, overlooking fields and the river Thames is truly beautiful.

James Cox Went on a match day, and had a fantastic roast that was both excellently cooked (the chefs were really friendly) and excellent served (big hi 5 to Rey (pardon my spelling)). High quality food, excellent drinks, brilliant service. This is going to be a favourite for all matches at Twickenham in the future, if I’m able to book in due to its popularity.

Adedayo Erinoso Having worked in chicken cottage years back, I found it fascinating to visit again and I enjoyed my meal. It was something worth commending. It was not a busy store. I was attended to promptly and the staff gave me all the attention. It was a clean store and I enjoyed my meal. However the chicken seems somewhat salty.

H Such a great independent restaurant in the heart of Teddington. It only has around 15 tables so it was a fairly quiet and relaxing atmosphere when I visited. The menu had a good selection of vegetarian dishes and I was advised that vegan dishes were no problem - I think most of them were vegan by default. I tried vegetable gyoza, spring rolls, tofu in a slightly spicy coconut sauce, and stir fried broccoli in soy sauce, with steamed rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Staff were friendly and really attentive, checking with us if we were ready for the main dishes when the plates from the starters were cleared. Prices were good. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 portions of rice, beers and a coffee came to £60. Ill definitely be back.

Mirna Wonderful atmosphere. What a fun evening. Everyone was super friendly and it turned into a party with lots of dancing. Will definitely go again

Dev Desai Many thanks to the team at The Crown for making the arrangements for our son’s 10th-birthday gathering of 17 guests so effortless from start to finish. The staff and management handled it with calm good humour and quiet efficiency. The private room had been beautifully prepared well in advance (see photos), spacious enough for everyone to mingle and chat comfortably rather than feel marooned at opposite ends of a long table. It struck exactly the right balance between celebratory and relaxed. The place is perfect to get people together. A small but charming touch was the way the servers arrived announcing whose dish they were carrying, which our guests found both helpful and oddly delightful. It gave the whole service a lightly personalised feel. Send a spreadsheet of diners and choices in advance to make this happen. The Crown team, led by David, were warm, attentive and accommodating throughout. Thank you for making it such a happy afternoon for our family. We’re lucky indeed to have such a fine food-led tavern so close to home.
