5 /5 Susan Yau: Loved the food and loved the service. Chaze is super, very knowledgeable of the food, food portions, drinks and even recommended a lovely new drink. The food is delicious, I had the breaded sole fish, beautiful cooked. My partner had Jack’s fried chicken, it had a gorgeous sweet hoisin bbq glaze. Worth every penny. We booked in advance, and had a lovely table looking over the Thames. Atmosphere was good, I liked the quirky ships, but I marked down the atmosphere because we prefer a quieter setting, as opposed to thumping music. I was little hoarse after, having shouted at my partner all night trying to have dinner conversation. We will be back again. But as my partner puts it, maybe not right away because we’d like our hearing to back first. Overall, lovely food, perfect service. Thank you.

4 /5 M Farr-Matt: Surprisingly good food at this new pub/restaurant, which I understand is run by the same group as the Trafalgar and other local venues. Portions were generous. We spent around £90 per head, including plenty of drinks. I had the fried chicken — properly crispy, with a tangy sauce that worked well. If you’re local to Greenwich, it’s well worth a visit. Service was excellent. Special mention to Sade (apologies if I’ve misspelt the name), who was genuinely charming and attentive. One bug bear, the music was way too loud.

5 /5 Lola Garcia: Trying the Ship for first time at last! Beautiful decoration, confortable chairs and tables, good service, dog friendly. We had Sunday Roast and fried chicken, everything was very tasty and well presented. (We missed the Yorkshire pudding in the roast, but not the end of the world) the potatoes were delicious, we really enjoyed and we will be back to try other dishes.

3 /5 Adam: Review based on having (very expensive) drinks only. Greeted at the door and told where to sit for drinks only. The decor of the place was great. Being from Greenwich it’s great to be showing off its naval and maritime history through the multiple boats and ships on display. I think this place has good potential, the summer months will be the main test here. The service was friendly but slow, this was shown by the 5 minutes plus I waited for 3 drinks - I was one of only two people at the bar. I had my dog with me and without asking, a bowl of water quickly arrived for her this was a welcoming touch and I was very appreciative. I’ve had to knock stars down for the price, I know being central Greenwich, next to the pier and the Cutty sark it’s aimed at tourists, but paying £8.60 for a mediocre pint of Guinness in a non branded glass is daylight robbery. The highest price in Greenwich by far. 2 pints and a Diet Coke £21.10 is extortionate. Priced for tourists, I will be back to try the food but by no means would I be coming for social drinks as there are plenty of cheaper options in the same area.

4 /5 Maxime Drouin: The food was very well presented and tasted great. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful — warm, stylish, and inviting. The staff were friendly and the manager, in particular, was extremely kind and attentive. However, the service was quite slow. Both the drinks and food took a long time to arrive. Our first round of drinks even came with a mistake, though the manager handled it very nicely and replaced it straight away. Unfortunately, the second round of drinks never arrived at all. It’s also worth noting that the main dishes don’t come with sides, which isn’t mentioned on the menu — something that could easily cause confusion. On the positive side, the restaurant offers a good selection of dishes, from meat to fish and more, and the drinks menu features some unusual and creative options. It’s a newly opened restaurant, so perhaps it just needs a bit more time to settle and get into its rhythm. We also overheard a bit of tension between the bar staff and a waitress about delayed drink orders, and it seemed other customers were experiencing the same issue. Overall, the place has great potential. I’ll definitely come back in the future, hoping the service improves.
