5 /5 Jenny Hills: Best pub in the area. Community-minded without being unwelcoming to everyone. Great selection of drinks, including gin and an outstanding cider collection. Hearty pub food including a decent vegetarian selection. Strikes a perfect balance between the cosy and traditional (its a beautiful, maze-like old building with a old-fashioned bar, beams and lots of books), and modern (food, non-overbearing music, football / rugby on low for those who want to watch). Theres a surprisingly spacious garden tucked away behind with cover and heating for cooler months.

5 /5 Mark Ynys-Mon: Dropped in on the way south as Id heard it was good. It is. A great pub. Excellent range of well kept beers and ciders, even perry and mead. I wish I didnt live 500 miles away!

5 /5 Rob Dean: Wonderful pub for any beer lover. Lovely staff. One of the best! Not eat here yet so can’t rate but I have had multiple visits for a drink and never disappointed by the choice of beer and cider. Brew there own beer too which is fantastic

5 /5 vidditch: Really enjoyed our visit here. Selection of cider and beer was very impressive and the food was filling and tasted great. Also loved the unique interior especially the lock tables, hopefully be able to return soon.

5 /5 Ralph Fleming: Popped in for a drink, lovely atmosphere and warm welcome. Clearly a pub known for its good beer and plenty on tap to choose from. Garden lounge and garden good for dogs. Had at least one private event going on and a folk band, on a Bank Holiday Monday, yet still plenty of space for patrons.
