5 /5 Joshua Kanyemba: Really great and generous portion to take away. First time dining here and I’m not disappointed. Service is great and the variety and taste of their platters is fantastic. Just the mulva pudding appears to sell out too soon… the Chef needs to make a plan to evenly spread them out. South African flavours are well reflected in their dishes… I would recommend any one, and family needing a sit down with food to visit this place! Susan our host has been a great waitress on our special evening… special thanks to her!

4 /5 Smita Patel: Popped in here for a quick bite and we’re not disappointed. We ordered a Platter for 1, but shared it and was glad we did. Portions are big for me so make sure you don’t go alone unless you are happy to take the rest home. Service was good — staff were friendly and attentive. The food was decent, but personally I would’ve liked it spicier. With a bit more heat and seasoning, it could be even better. But I would recommend all to go and try.

5 /5 Amy Skinner: WOW! We happened to sit next to the owner, Zaid, on a flight to South Africa. He told us he has peri-peri chicken restaurants in London, which also happens to be my favourite food. We visited the Croydon restaurant and were blown away. It’s some of the best peri-peri chicken and prawns I’ve ever had! Such generous portions and incredible flavour. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous interior. Our waitress, Susan, was an absolute star! So friendly and attentive. The food was out super quickly. Nothing to fault! Loved the way you use a lamp to let the service know when you need assistance. Serendipitous to have sat next to the lovely Zaid on our flight ✈️

5 /5 Anita M: I came here for my birthday last Sunday and I was not disappointed! Wed ordered two mixed grills and two 6 prawns everything was delivered fast and the food was delicious despite ordering before the kitchen was due to close however, the peri-peri is spicy so if youre not too tolerant on spice Id defo go for the lemon and herb option or have a salad on the side other than that, I would 100% recommend The Truro to anyone!
