Rachel Lee A traditional Italian restaurant that offers very reasonable price and incredible value for money — definitely worth trying. The meatballs were very juicy and full of flavour, with a firm bite that gave them great texture Delicious Lasagna. Layer after layer of rich, creamy béchamel, and perfectly cooked pasta sheets Salmon pasta was another favour, tender and silky salmon and spaghetti with a perfect al dente and creamy sauce

Charlotte We love this neighbourhood gem. Proper handmade Italian pasta, traditional as well as unusual dishes - all outstanding! Even their amuse bouches and starters are so thoughtful and flavoursome… Extensive and inspiring wine list. Great for private events and they make very good cocktails, too. We are regulars now and frequently bump into fellow neighbours as well as celebrities…

Syed A Inan I went to this small Bangladeshi restaurant today, just a stones throw walk from Upton Park station, called Choruibhati. Not a commercially chain or one of the posh eating palces one might go for a meal. In fact, it is at the moment sitting in the middle of a construction site. We ordered Kachchi Biriyani, Tehari, Duck Bhuna with Pilau, Beef Bhuna with Pilau, Jorda rice, Halim and Borhani as takeaway. At first I was pretty skeptical about the food, but, once my nostrils had a whiff of the food, I realised I was about to be amazed. And, amazed I was. The food was rustic with blends of carefully mixed subcontinental spices that subtly brushes your palate in layers. Any trace of spice is washed away by the complex tangy-spicy-sweet-milky taste of the Borhani. Each dish can be tasted separately due to the differentiated spice blend, unlike all the commercial curry houses where one sauce is used for all the dishes. Comparing to most of the High Street commercial curry/biriyani houses, this is a hidden gem in the heart of East London. There is space for family or a group of 15+ as well as anyone using a wheelchair (down stairs) to sit and enjoy a hearty Bangladeshi exquisite meal. The Chef, Nizam, is a kind man with a warm smile. N.B: Due to constructions wheelchair access at the moment may not be suitable.
