Toby Carvery South Croydon - (Near Croydon, South East)

4 /5 Charlene: Tyler, our waiter at Toby Carvery, asked me to leave a review and he definitely deserves a mention. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome, even though it was very busy. The food here is always fresh, hot, and tasty with plenty of choice, so you never leave hungry. The only downside is Sundays, when queues can be long and waiting times high, sometimes with only one person serving. Still, Tyler handled everything calmly and professionally, which made the experience much better.

1 /5 Shania King: We arrived yesterday evening to rude staff members who dismissed us the moment we walked in. We were told to sit at the bar and wait for a table by the manager with dyed red hair. She left us waiting in a rather empty establishment for over 20 minutes. Bare in mind, there were several empty tables, all they put out is a knife, fork and napkin as the plates are up at the buffet and drinks youll get at the bar. Four people who walked in before us, two of which didnt have a booking, she seated rather quickly. After 20 minutes, I kindly asked the other worker if a table would be ready soon as the establishment was empty only the bar had visitors. He then dismissed me and said "well someone will see you." The manager with the red hair finally came back over then said "sorry" rather sarcastically as we were "sitting there quietly she forgot about us" after I started to get loudly frustrated. She walked past us several times ignoring us while she spoke to drunk regulars. We left after our drinks and went to the Mitcham branch which was much friendlier and efficient. This was unacceptable. The only difference between us and the other visitors was the colour of our skin.

5 /5 Lucy Walker: I went with 2 friends to the Toby Carvery South Croydon for lunch today. We were served by a lovely young man, Tyler, who was very kind, polite & professional. He was great. We had a Carvery & although enjoyable, we all thought the food was lukewarm & could have been much hotter. We were surprised as we went early for the Carvery, about 12.30. Hope something could be done to make the food hotter & more enjoyable. The Yorkshire pudding was huge & took up half the plate. I think that a smaller Yorkshire pudding would have been better. However I enjoyed the apple crumble & rose wine spritzer.

5 /5 Julie Norton: Tyler was a fantastic server and was very attentive, polite and professional. Great service always makes an experience so much better - thank you for making our lunch really lovely. Food was a 4 just because the pigs in blankets starters wernt great (bacon was a little under for my taste) however, the carvery itself was great.

4 /5 Hannah Knight: Service provided by Carrie Anne was very good friendly and welcoming. Food was good the pork was a little dry which was disappointing. Think this is over cooked. Also missed the red cabbage which they have made before. Overall good but meat needs looking at.
