Watermans Richmond - (Near Richmond upon Thames, South East)

4 /5 Alex A: Solid pub food in a quieter setting. I was looking for a proper traditional pub meal, and while other Richmond pubs like the Old Ship or Princess Head feel livelier and more rustic, we chose Waterman’s because it’s relatively quiet with outdoor seating. There’s a small but good selection of beers. Prices are on the higher side — about £33 for a main and a Guinness. The portions are generous, the food very good, and the staff friendly. A bit pricey compared to other pubs nearby, but if you prefer a quieter atmosphere with quality food, it’s a strong choice.

5 /5 Kerinha CeeCee: I had such a great experience here! The seafood sharing platter was absolutely incredible: fresh, generous, and full of flavour. Easily one of the best seafood platters I’ve had. And the baklava… simply the bestest! It was freshly made and tasted amazing, perfectly sweet, crisp, and delicious. On top of the food, the staff were wonderful: super nice, kind, attentive, and very professional. They really made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you love great seafood and authentic desserts. I’ll definitely be back!

5 /5 Suzanne Cave: We booked for seven people on Christmas Eve for our daughters birthday. I took a punt as I didnt know this restaurant/pub but it was pretty local and the person who dealt with me on the phone (Chris I think) was really friendly and warm. Well, I coulnt have chosen better. I have literally just arrived home but felt compelled to write a review. All the staff were just delightful, oozing energy and positivity. We were served by Jack who I think deserves a special mention. He made us laugh from the start and was a wonderful and attentive member of staff - honestly, if the staff are great it makes the whole occasion special, which was certainly the case tonight. Thank you to everyone. Now to the food - flavoursome, hearty yet nuanced. Great portion sizes, definitely on the generous side. Everyone at the table was passing food to each other and delighting in the flavours. It felt like we had stumbled upon a well kept secret and Im so glad that this is where we spent our daughters 20th birthday and Christmas Eve. Definitely go if you havent already.

5 /5 Lukas De Vries: Stumbled across this little gastro pub tucked down a small alleyway. We had our dog with us so we werent allowed into Scotts or The Ivy which we tried first. Very impressed with the quality of the food, fish was as good as anything we have had at Scotts and its a nice relaxed atmosphere away from the busy highstreet. Oysters very fresh

The service was impeccable, always delivered with genuine warmth. The food was exceptional, and the generous portions completed a truly memorable evening. We left both impressed and happy.
