Zaks Kebab House - (Near Barnet, South East)

5 /5 Maryan: The food was amazing. I had the chicken shawarma with fresh chips and hummus, and it was so tasty. Everything felt healthy, fresh and full of flavour. You can really taste the authentic cuisine in every bite. The owner is one of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll meet. The staff are friendly, generous and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you haven’t been to Zak’s yet, definitely go. Great food, great people and such a good vibe. I’ll definitely be back.

5 /5 Qasim Ali: A very homely shop with a chill vibe. When you walk in there is comfortable seating on your left and at the end is a counter. The food served here is amazing. I’ve had the chicken shawarma plate which tasted amazing, the chicken was cooked well and there was a generous portion of salad and chicken with some pitta bread on the side. On another occasion I also had the beef burger meal which was also really good. The environment in the shop is amazing, it’s a bit quiet and so feels more like a local gem, it’s the perfect place to grab a coffee or tea and do some work. The staff who work there are also extremely well mannered and friendly.

1 /5 Sarit Shah: This is a shame as i have walked past Zaks for many months, and i have been working in mill hill for 17 years. But today i thought i would try Zaks kebab house, first off they had a massive sign in the window and floor which said Shawarma and soft drink £6.50 which i thought seemed reasonable. i walked in and waited to be served, i asked for a chicken shawarma, chips (£3.5) and drink instead of charging me £10 they charged £11.50 and was a bit perplexed as to why they would have a massive sign which is to entice people and not honour it. A couple of minutes later the person behind the counter says its probably for the NHS or students, if you dont know your yourself, you need someone there who does otherwise thats false advertising. Needless to say that they didnt offer me a refund nor another drink to make up the over charge, or even offer an apology. Now the food, chips as you can clearly see from the picture are refried, dry, old and not salted. The shawarma is average at best. Unfortunately i wont be coming to Zaks again, poor service and food.

5 /5 Joe Piper: Delicious mixed grill, flatbread and chips. Excellent coffee and mint tea also available on other occasions I have visited. The owner is very attentive and will often complimentary provide Lebanese biscuits with the coffee. Very calm and good place to relax or also work.

5 /5 Dudi Zohar: We went all the family and had a great time! The food was amazing and we enjoyed the great environment! The Hummus and the falafel are fresh- they make it in house. The owner pampered us non stop! Highly recommended!
