5 /5 Safila Kassim: Loved everything about Zeret Kitchen! The Zeret Surprise was delicious and surprisingly reminded us of South Indian flavors like Dosa and veg curry. The owner is a lovely lady who provides excellent hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a soulful, tasty ethiopian meal.

5 /5 Anson Varghese: We recently decided to try Ethiopian food after hearing Santhosh George Kulangara mention it as one of the world’s best cuisines. To our surprise, we found this lovely restaurant, luckily we were nearby, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we walked in, the lady (sorry forgot to ask your name) welcomed us so warmly. We were with our one-year-old, who was full on energy, but she immediately made us feel comfortable. She patiently explained the food options and suggested what to try. We ordered injera with doro wat and a platter. She even gave our little one some food on the house just to cheer him up, which honestly touched our hearts. She spoke to us so kindly, played with our son, and even took care of him for a while so we could enjoy our meal peacefully. It genuinely felt like visiting a family member rather than a restaurant. The injera reminded us a lot of dosa, and she mentioned the same. It has a slightly sour taste compared to dosa, which I personally enjoyed. The doro wat is a unique and flavourful chicken curry that you’ll definitely love if you enjoy rich, spiced dishes. Overall, a beautiful experience. Great ambience, delicious warm food, and most importantly, a warm heart behind it all. Highly recommend this place ❤️

5 /5 Sam David: My first ever experience with Ethiopian cuisine, and I was super impressed. We shared the Zeret Surprise (a platter meant for two, but it worked well for four of us as we ordered a few extra dishes), including Ethiopian-style chicken, shuro bequanta, and katenga. The service was excellent: attentive, warm, and friendly throughout. They were also great at accommodating gluten intolerances, which we really appreciated. Would come back in a heartbeat!

5 /5 Beulah: I travelled a long way to Zeret to try Ethiopian food after seeing all the amazing reviews, and I’m so glad I did—it was absolutely worth it. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. The lovely lady who served us took the time to explain each dish and even showed us the best way to enjoy them, which made the experience even more special. We started with the Katenga bread, a perfect appetizer with just the right hint of spice, paired beautifully with the complimentary tea. As a South Indian, I found the injera surprisingly familiar—its texture and tang reminded me of dosa, and I loved how well all the dishes balanced and complemented the sourness of the bread. I never thought I’d appreciate lentils this much, but they were truly delicious. Zeret exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommended!
