Shide Quarry - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Luke Meads: A hidden gem of a place for nature and wildlife. This has to be one of my favourite places for taking photos of wild orchids or insects such as dragonflies, butterflies or damselflies. Its not an easy place to find - head up Burnt House Lane from the main road and there is a little gap in the fence at the end of the road. Head down the path and youre into a large disused quarry. Be careful for the wet patches that exist! There is a wealth of nature here, you just have to look!

3 /5 David Sanborn: A small nature preserve that was formerly a chalk mine. Somewhat interesting.

5 /5 Danny Peterson: Took my little one there she loved exploring however it is very under used given the beauty of the area

4 /5 Rachel: No tickets needed, difficult steps, I had to hold someones hand. Take chairs if you want them for picnicking, there are none. Birds for company some of the time. Peaceful.
