4 /5 Mazza Baksmaty: Lovely italian restaurant on Shepherds Bush Green. The plastic coveting put me off going to this resraurant for years but after hearing from a friend the food was good & seeing the interior I wanted to try for myself.
It has a relaxed ambience which makes for easy conversation. The waitress was attentive & we enjoyed a cocktail, an apperitif & coffee. I had a shot of Limoncello which was both sweet, aromatic & not at all bitter. I then chose a Calzone which came with a side salad with dressing on it. The calzone was good, the filling hot, dough crispy. The salad was crisp & the dressing was fresh and seasoned. Topped off the meal with Tiramisu which was delicious if still a little frozen in the middle but it didnt stop me finishing it all! There was also vegetarian/meat pizza, lamb shank, spaghetti bolognaise and Tuna salad. All plates were left empty.
