5 /5 Vilma Lindvall: Absolutely incredible food. Mesi is a star!
The food is sooo good, but if you like food with truly powerful flavour and proper oomph - I reckon the trick is to tell her you want the "real spicy" when you order as it is rather adjusted for the whiter palate.
The restaurants interior is homey and cosy, albeit outdated but none of it matters once you get that food in front of you!
5 /5 Chuckie Williams: Lovely Ethiopian cultural experience spent with family. The food was excellent. We got the meat combo (for 3) and the fish salad for starters.
Mesi was lovely and welcoming too. Thank you so much. I will definitely be coming back.
5 /5 Aishu: amazing food! they’re also open late which was a plus. we especially loved the meat combo but also the lamb and collard greens dish was so delicious. all the food was so flavorful and good
5 /5 Donn Williams: Great Authentic Ethiopian restaurant in Holloway. Absolutely loved the lamb dish with Injera, loved the flavours and blend of the dishes. the service was excellent and the staff were great to talk too about the dishes and Ethiopian culture in general. I Also loved the decor of the restaurant.
5 /5 Lynne Kaye: Had the most wonderful food here. We would definitely come back. We had the vegetarian combo. The waitress was very lovely too!
MADDOGLEP I think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harveys Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.
Anon Most of the food was exceptional. For me the stew was lacking flavour and the banana cake not indulgent, but the kimchi bimbap with ‘bacon’ fried rice (gorgeous), sesame cream latte (to DIE for), breakfast ‘army style’ beans (flawless)!
Go, eat, enjoy.
RJS An amazing evening and dinner service at this great little gem in Lewes.
The team were attentive, the food was stunning and we had a lovely time post meal in the bar too, following a chat with the head chef who was clearly passionate about creating a fabulous experience.
We can’t wait until our next visit and we will be dreaming about the gnocchi!
Mel g Had a lovely visit to The Brasserie. Wonderful service with a smile (and a pinch of humour). Food was tasty and good portions. The atmosphere was very nice, with rays of sunshine cascading through the roof sunlights.
Mary López De Ricaurte Today, I delighted in having a fantastic passion for fruit juice and a delicious buñuelo. The service is excellent, very friendly, the food is spectacular and a very good atmosphere. Highly recommended, I felt at home.
