EmilleeJoy Authentic, vegetarian, delicious and healthy Ethiopian food at the heart of Brixton market. Service was so friendly and our waitress (and maybe the cook as well) came out to let us wash our hands before we ate our platter for two.

Sabrina S I’ve been coming to San Marino in Brixton for years and it has always been one of my absolute favourite spots. It’s a family-run café and you really feel that warmth every time you walk in — the staff are genuinely welcoming and make you feel at home. The food is consistently amazing, especially the breakfasts, which are some of the best in Brixton. Everything is always fresh, well-cooked and generous, and it’s the kind of place you can rely on every single time. I’ve brought friends and family here over the years and it’s always the first place I recommend. I also love that they now have a bar in the evenings — the cocktails and atmosphere are brilliant and it’s become my go-to spot before and after gigs. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Always leave happy, full, and already planning the next visit.

koen kostermans Great Japanese eatery in Brixton village. Quick service, nice options of okonimiyaki and more Japanese street food snacks. Pricing very fair. Had the okonimiyaki squid for lunch, perfect size for 1 person.

Elias P Not only is the food really incredible, but the service is really full of love. They always do their best to find as a table, even though it’s fully booked. We had the special sole fish; daal, paratha, keema, prawns and for starters the puri. It was like a trip to india. If you’re not a fan of alcohol you should definitely try the coconut ginger lassi. It is exceptional. Thank you Binod tamang and sohib khan.

Ada P This place serves really good food at an amazing price! I had the lamb curry which was very tender and in a delicious sauce full of flavour, a large portion with the bony lamb and lots of meat which i love. The naan was freshly baked and very nice. For £6 with the naan and salad it is amazing value for the quality, taste and portion. The staff were friendly and kind. The naans were being freshly rolled and Hand spun before being cooked. The place was also super clean and all food looked good. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their food, definitely going to be a staple work lunch at their pricing! I would definitely recommend.

Toby B Burgers absolutely next-level delicious. Big mustard seeds in the sauce are really innovative and tasty. The owner gave me the wrong meal but was very understanding about it when I returned shortly after so tops marks for customer service!
