4 /5 Peter Harris: Not the easiest place if you have a pram or wheelchair. We carried our pram up the steps to the main entrance only to find it wouldn’t fit through the narrow door. The barman came over and opened the second door so we could get in, but his first comment was that we could have used the side door. As it was our first time visiting, that came across a little condescending. There was also no sign for a side entrance, and when we later saw it, it appeared to actually be a fire exit leading to an area where empty beer kegs are stored.
Inside, the space is quite tight. We had a pram and two dogs, so room was limited, but luckily the table next to us was free which made things easier.
The food was decent — I had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. The décor is lovely and really captures the feel of a traditional seaside pub, and the view is fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was fairly quiet when we visited.
Overall, I’d still recommend it for the food, atmosphere and amazing view, but accessibility could definitely be improved.
