5 /5 Daniel Kidgell: Arrived unannounced with 7 people and a dog, and they catered with no questions. GM came over to meet the pooch. Maria was super attentive and our fresh, oven-baked pizzas were out in 7 minutes. A brilliant overall experience for a saturday lunch! Will be back.

2 /5 Alessia Yosifova: The food was great as always and arrived quickly, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, the service left quite a bit to be desired. It was honestly one of the slowest experiences I’ve had, which was surprising given that the restaurant was relatively quiet when we arrived. We waited around 15 minutes just for our drink order to be taken, and during that time, several tables that came in after us were served first. While the food came out promptly, no one came by to check how everything was. Despite several servers walking around, I eventually had to call someone over after waiting more than 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. A little more attentiveness and a smile or two would have made the experience much better.

4 /5 Sam: Franco Manca was a mixed experience overall. The pizza itself was very good – interesting flavours and something slightly different from the standard options you see elsewhere. Food came quickly and was of a good standard. The starter wasn’t quite to my personal taste, but that’s more preference than quality. The venue was extremely loud when we first arrived, with lots of children screaming, which made it hard to relax. It did calm down later in the evening, which improved the atmosphere. Service was largely excellent. Two younger servers – a lady and a gentleman – were brilliant. The lady in particular was outstanding, constantly attentive and pre-empting things like empty water glasses and napkins without being intrusive. The younger lad was friendly, confident, and professional in his approach. Unfortunately, the older manager let things down. I observed him touching various surfaces around the restaurant, handling money, and then touching food. From a hygiene perspective, this was very concerning and not what you’d expect in a food environment.

The service truly exceeded all expectations—warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. A special mention to the manager and to our server, Richard, who both went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well looked after. The entire team deserves credit for creating such an inviting and positive atmosphere—everyone worked together seamlessly, and it really showed. We also want to acknowledge the chef from Naples, whose passion and authenticity came through in every dish. The food was full of flavour, freshly made, and truly reminiscent of real Italian cooking. From the baked aubergine to the fresh bread and the beautifully made tiramisu, everything was excellent. A wonderful visit overall. Great service, great food, and a brilliant team. We’ll definitely be returning!

1 /5 Shiraz Motors: I always look forward to trying new pizzas at Franco Manca, but this time was really disappointing. The new pizza felt like something the chef created for himself, not for everyone — the flavour combination was strange and just didn’t work for me. However, I really appreciated the kind gesture from the manager, who offered us a complimentary garlic bread — that was a nice touch and showed good customer care. Sadly, the pizza itself was still a miss for me, even though the service was friendly.
