Yash Singh Happened to walk by and the food sounded amazing so we gave it a try… the pork adobo with rice was easily one of the best and most satisfying homely meals I’ve had in a long time. I rarely leave reviews but the pork was so good that it deserved the compliment! Was so buttery and soft, like eating butter. Amazing meal

Jon P Great little spot in Wimbledon. Grace is always cheerful and welcoming - proper old-school service with a smile. Alex, the indefatigable manager, does the best bacon and eggs in London, no question. Coffee’s top notch and reasonably priced. Always a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. One of those places you just keep coming back to.

Thecinnamonroom New go to Chinese the food is much better than the rest as standards have dropped massively in the area. Food is lovely staff are friendly. My only gripe is sometimes I get spring onions in my chow mein and sometimes I don’t and it’s a little disappointing when I don’t Please keep the quality as it is Good job guys

koen kostermans Great Japanese eatery in Brixton village. Quick service, nice options of okonimiyaki and more Japanese street food snacks. Pricing very fair. Had the okonimiyaki squid for lunch, perfect size for 1 person.

Dishoom Permit Room Portobello -

Damien Kempt I have visited different branches of Dishoom before and always enjoyed my meals there. This was my first time visiting the Permit Room in Notting Hill and it more than lived up to the standards of the other restaurants. This particular location is made up of a bar on the ground floor and the restaurant on the first floor. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and had a really relaxed atmosphere with very comfortable seating. It has an authentic Indian atmosphere without being cliched or tacky. I was so comfortable that I could have sat there for much longer. The most important thing of course is the food and like other branches of Dishoom, it was delicious. I had the Lamb Chettinad curry and the Black Daal. The curry had a generous amount of meat, rich sauce and very spicy, just how I like my curries. The daal was creamy and had lots of flavour. Even the basmati rice and naan were prepared very well and they very kindly gave me some chilli jam for my naan. I just wish I had saved some room for dessert. I have always found the staff at Dishoom to be great and the Notting Hill team were no exception. I was served by Saru and Tulja (TJ) who were both very friendly and helpful. Saru gave a warm welcome when I arrived and Tulja checked in with me during my meal to make sure that I was having a good experience. It was much appreciated. I will definitely be back to this particular branch of Dishoom, especially as it is my neighbourhood. It is very much worth a visit if you want to enjoy delicious Indian food with excellent service.
