1 /5 Bri Paige: If I could give this 0* I would. I went here with my friends one evening as they had live music playing. I found someone in there quite aggressive and he kept telling me he works there. We hadn’t actually done anything wrong (we did vape inside as in the Shelley arms you’re allowed to and hadn’t realised you weren’t in the kings arms but stopped after we were told and went outside for the rest of the evening.) we hadn’t had any interaction with this particular person and were sat outside in the garden when he came out and started shouting at us saying “who’s been saying they’ve been sleeping with my partner” and getting really angry when we had not even made the connection that he had a partner. He then stormed back inside after that but we were quite upset by this. After this my friend went to the toilet and then came out all teary eyed. I asked her what was wrong and she pointed a lady out stood next to the man that had previously shouted at us in the evening earlier. She said that she had pushed her into a wall and told her to “move”. (I later believe this was this man’s partner.) I went up to her and word for word said “excuse me I don’t mean to be rude but do you recall maybe brushing past someone a little bit too hard as my friend is rather upset and I wanted to get your side of the story before people start making assumptions” and she was really apologetic but didn’t recall it happening. The man who was on the phone at the time then got off the phone and got involved telling me in particular that I was no longer being served and my friend group I was with and I were now on pub watch so that was probably the end of our evening. It came across very strong considering I wasn’t trying to get violent and just have a tame conversation. I’m really hurt that I was made to feel so uncomfortable and my friends were also very upset. He continued to play the “I live upstairs here” card and it just felt like a really big power trip. I don’t mean to nag and have a go but this is my first and unfortunately probably last time in the kings arms and wish it would’ve gone better. I just don’t want this to happen to other young groups in there. I understand the landlady has recently gone through some personal matters so I had taken my review down but after no response and since being active and opening a new pub I have still received no update on the situation. Only seems to respond when I say about a negative review which is interesting. First and most definitely last time. I hope this can be improved in the future.

5 /5 Ho Juen Ko: Lovely friendly pub just a bit out of the town centre of Horsham! Came here for lunch and the food and drinks were all very well priced! There was a good selection of beers from local breweries. The lunch deals were great. The atmosphere was very chilled during lunch time on a weekday and the staff were all super friendly! They also have a little board games corner!

5 /5 I saw. Herobrine R: We held my daughters birthday party here. The buffet was plentiful and delicious and the staff couldnt have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We made a huge mess with massive party poppers, foil confetti was everywhere but the staff were brilliant and said they were just happy to see everyone enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend this pub.

5 /5 Phil Needham: Easily the best pub in Horsham. The landlady is passionate about creating an inclusive welcoming friendly atmosphere and welcomes well behaved people and dogs. The food is always 5 stars, especially the Sunday Roast (we’ve had a few in recent weeks). There are many events from live music to painting nights , always something to entertain or provide service for the community.

1 /5 Josh Angus: My first time ever leaving a review somewhere. We visited today with my partner and was extremely disappointed with our experience. We waited 40 minutes for our food, despite the limited menu consisting only of pies. While we were prepared for a simple meal, the long wait and the burnt oven chips we were served were completely unacceptable. My partner was hesitant to complain because a group of people had come in to start ordering food, but I feel it’s important to highlight this issue. If a place struggles to prepare something as basic as oven chips, I would strongly advise others to avoid eating here. Very disappointing.
