4 /5 João Filipe Pereira: Luso was a really pleasant surprise for us. As Portuguese, it’s not always easy to find a genuinely good Portuguese restaurant in London, but this one definitely stands out. The food is very good. It’s not strictly traditional Portuguese cuisine -- there’s a subtle UK twist, with slightly softer, more rounded flavours to suit the local palate -- but it’s done with quality and care. If you like fish this is a place to go. Overall, we really enjoyed it. The service is top notch: attentive, professional and welcoming throughout. The atmosphere is lovely, and the private dining room is absolutely worth trying if you’re going as a group. Prices are on the higher side, but for central London they’re reasonable. The wine list is also excellent, with great options to pair with the dishes. We’ll definitely be back.

All starters were excellent, especially the croquettes and langoustine Aubergine dish desperately needed acid to balance its beurre blanc sauce, the fennel on top was not doing it Lobster rice was fun and extravagant, but lacked depth and flavor Chocolate mousse was a knockout. CR7 from outside the box Would come again and try a different main, maybe chicken or beef. It was expensive but the quality was there

5 /5 Dion Shan: An incredible evening at Luso – made perfect by Bec! We had such a fantastic experience at Luso. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere – lively, elegant and welcoming – but what truly made the evening exceptional was our server, Bec. Bec was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. She was warm, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, the pacing of the meal was perfect, and she made the whole experience feel effortless and genuinely special. You can tell she takes real pride in giving guests a memorable evening, and it made such a difference. The food was phenomenal. The beef croquettes were rich and perfectly crisp, the lagoustines were beautifully cooked and incredibly fresh, and the lobster pastry was indulgent and full of flavour. The lobster rice was absolutely spectacular – easily one of the standout dishes of the night. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender, and we finished with the chocolate mousse, which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Great food is one thing, but when it’s paired with service like Bec’s, it becomes a truly memorable experience. She is an absolute credit to Luso and made our evening feel special from beginning to end. We will definitely be back. If you visit Luso, you’ll be very lucky if Bec is looking after you!

5 /5 Mim Pennington: Honestly one of the best meals out we have had in London. The food was incredible but the service was next level and absolutely made the evening. Antonio was fantastic and always took the time to chat. Cameron the sommelier was brilliant! She had fantastic wine recommendations and was kind, personable and couldn’t do enough to make our time lovely. Tomas and Eleonora were clearly brilliant managers. They looked after us so well and made this birthday one to remember.

3 /5 YK: It’s been a while since I’ve been so disappointed and upset visiting a restaurant, but here we are. Before going into anything about the food, our server, Conal, was absolutely wonderful. 10/10. Super attentive and remembered the birthday flag on my reservation. Now the food… I think a bill of £162 for 2 people is crazy for what we got. The mains/larger plates were especially bad. A mushroom tart that was basically sautéed and puréed mushrooms on some layers of puff pastry. The chicken was succulent, but flavour not there again. Roasted potatoes seemed to be cooked a while ago (and we came at 6.30pm), plus weren’t seasoned properly. The starters were OK. The squash was pretty flavourless, even with the pesto & pickled onion. To be fair, shout out to the wagyu croquettes - but the only good thing. Although based on past reviews, they seem inconsistent with portion size. Plenty of better places with a similar vibe. I hope they fix up the finishes of the dishes, because the menu sounds nice.
