What Clients Are Saying Mezban - Indian Restaurant Stratford (GG)
5 /5 S B: Excellent halal food good mix of south Asian and Arabic dishes, we visited twice in one week. We ordered a partha dish which came layered in a banana leaves topped with meat fry chicken fry and chicken curry. We also tried the dosa and biryani all very flavourful and very affordable.
5 /5 Tara Safaie: Tucked away in the “market” portion of Stratford shopping center, this place has authentic South Indian food that makes for the perfect lunch. No frills and a bit hot, if you tend to run warm, the food is delicious and varied. I’ve gotten the Pernnal Choru and the masala dosa and both were filling and delicious
1 /5 parthan P: Have kizhi porotta with chicken and beef , pathetic taste the curry inside have raw masala taste and the beef not even cooked properly. Totally disappointed.
1 /5 divya divakaran: I tried the Perunal Chor, but all I got was a small portion of rice, three tiny pieces of chicken fry, and undercooked beef. The curries all had a raw masala taste, not great at all.
It’s disappointing to see that they serve generous portions to influencers on Instagram, but not to real customers.
Honestly, this is the worst Kerala food I’ve had in London. Completely ruined my day.
Alice Summers The chai latte and teas are quite nice! Food was okay too.
We quite liked the butter chicken roll - didnt taste greasy and was flavourful.
The Mogo chips was okay.
Samosas were also okay.
The waitress Sonja is very stressed as shes by herself at the front, dealing with takeaways as well.
Theres another member of staff in the background presumably cooking. I think they need one more person really.
We had a nice time and will definitely be back again. Thanks Sonja :)
Trevor Mepham I had a take away last night and after reading the reviews just had to leave mine. I order from here about once a month i suppose and have to say that each time the food is lovely and the staff are very friendly. I have the Chicken Dansak with coconut rice, absolutely lovely !!!
Natalie A Had the most wonderful and relaxing afternoon with a friend at Lovage. Not only did the menu offer all your favourite brunch dishes with plenty of sweet and savoury options, but they were so aesthetically pleasing and presented perfectly. Really enjoyed the Lovage Pancake Breakfast, the Turkish Breakfast and the French Toast. There were plenty of fruity smoothies, mocktails and hot drinks to choose from.
The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The staff checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and it was lovely to be able to unwind without feeling rushed. Would highly recommend as spot to visit for brunch and lunch and if you love taking photos - then its definitely an extra excuse to go!
phil slade We had a very good meal here yesterday evening. A good choice of food and tasty. The tarka daal was very good. Very welcoming polite staff. Very generous with the compliment tray that goes with the papadams. Good value. Do try and go. I know they are finding it difficult to attract back customers after the pandemic. Support your local Indian restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
