Alena Chez Antoinette is a little slice of Paris. We celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday there this month and for a moment truly felt as though we had been transported to France. The interior is beautiful, full of charm and warmth, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The food was absolutely moreish — most of us ordered the duck confit, which was one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. The beef bourguignon was equally delicious, rich and full of flavour. A wonderful place for a special occasion — we’ll definitely be back.

Didem Gunes Had a lovely meal at the Tamil prince tried abit of everything the starters were amazing, personally this was the highlight to our meal! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were super attentive and welcoming! (My only improvement would be the size of the soft drinks the Coke Zero was the smallest ml and costed £4 it should be clear on the menu as it doesn’t even fill a cup) the food was lovely and super flavourful the paneer curry was amazing with the naan. Would definitely go again!

Saam N This is absolutely a must-visit spot for food lovers! My husband and I have been here several times, and every visit has been consistently fantastic. Some of the dishes and drinks we’ve enjoyed include: * Beef Rendang (honestly the best I’ve had in London!) * Nasi Lemak (chicken) * Nasi Goreng (prawn) * Curry Laksa (prawn and chicken) * Crispy Chicken Wings (crispy and piping hot) * Acar Nenas * Roti with daal Drinks: Teh Tarik, Bandung (my favourite), and Lemonade with mint leaf. Everything tastes incredible and genuinely authentic—just like the food I’ve had in Malaysia. You can really tell everything is freshly prepared in the kitchen. The portion sizes are very generous too; we always end up leaving with a takeaway bag. The restaurant itself is small but has such a warm, homely atmosphere that truly reminds me of dining in Malaysia. The beef rendang is especially outstanding when paired with roti. I’ve tried rendang at many places across London, but this one stands out—Normah does it best. The meat is always tender and the flavour is consistently rich and delicious. I was there just yesterday and already planning to go back next week. Definitely worth taking the time to secure a booking!

Bethany Loh I haven’t eaten here… YET! But I had no choice other than to make a special trip here just to take this photo! This is our Dog Aslan. He was rescued from the streets of Kalkan in Turkey and is the softest most loveable dog anyone would ever meet. He gets very excited at the smell of Turkish food since his career in Turkey as a professional beggar at restaurants. I had to bring him for a photo at Aslan’s Kitchen. We are local and will certainly be ordering from here very soon
