Elisabeth i sat down at mien tay expecting great food and those expectations were still surpassed. me and my dad came in here starving and i havent needed to eat for two days - it is very filling, the portion sizes are of incredible value.. you have been warned! the service was..how to say.. Minimal.... by which i mean very straight to the point, youre here for a delicious meal not for small talk with your waiter. had to call staff over rather than them coming to us but we didnt mind. starters were as good as we had heard, my dish (ginger duck + rice) was wonderful, flavourful, and hearty. it seems there is a lot of love going into this cooking.

Dom Ahern Loved this place. Every single member of staff was just amazing, super attentive, charming and knew their stuff. We went in the evening and the atmosphere was perfect, kitchen upstairs and a mixture of big and small tables with candles, fun but relaxed and not too hectic. Felt really well looked after which made the evening. The wine choices and food were superb and waiters helped us choose. Possibly on the slightly pricey side, but because everything was perfect it still seemed great value. Def recommend for those happy to spend a bit of money, or want to feel spoilt in relaxed but buzzy setting. My new favourite place.

Stan Pearce We recently stayed 3 nights at the Nutfield Priory for their holiday Winter Package. Our stay was superb in all aspects. The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They are dog friendly and the staff cheerfully greeted our pup at every opportunity. The food was always perfectly prepared and well presented. But above all the best part of the entire stay was the staff and the service. Every aspect of service was smooth, professional and well thought out. I would say the best service we have experienced in the UK. I would particularly like to mention Alfie and Abdul. Both of whom made our stay exceptional with their attention to detail. I can not recommend the Nutfield Priory enough.

Patricia Luk We spent lunch with Live Jazz at The Guildford Townhouse on Sunday. Staff is friendly and efficient. The venue is clean with a modern atmosphere. The live jazz is highly entertaining and enjoyable. Decent choices on food and drinks menus. I had grilled halibut fillet. Megan came and check on us throughout the service making sure everything is fine.

Sophia I recently hosted a surprise baby shower at The Tooting Tavern, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were able to view the venue beforehand, and on the day we had over 30 guests, making full use of the lovely garden space. Rachel and Ally guided us through the booking process, which was seamless and stress-free. The food on the day was absolutely delicious, huge compliments to the chefs! Despite it being such a large booking, every dish arrived hot, on time, and perfectly prepared. They even catered to special requests, which our guests really appreciated. A special shoutout goes to Daine and Brian, who took such great care of us throughout the event. Even while our guests were busy playing games, they made sure we were well looked after right until the end of the evening. The cocktails were another highlight, so tasty and well-made. I will definitely be returning soon, both for the wonderful food and the warm, welcoming service. Thank you again to the whole team for helping us create such a memorable celebration!
