5 /5 Yuqi Wang: My Bulgarian friend takes us here - super authentic, good portion and fairly priced. There are dishes that I never tried before on the menu, hard to find elsewhere otherwise. Taste was good - my favourite is beef tongue.

5 /5 Martina Potenza: Traditional Bulgarian restaurant loved not only by Bulgarian people. I went with my Bulgarian friend and I genuinely enjoyed every single dish we tried. The portions are huge and it’s really good value for money. It is very busy at both lunch and dinner everyday though, so booking in advance is necessary.

1 /5 Butterfly Who: The food is nice, but seems like the waiter doesn’t welcome Asian racially. I waited outside the restaurant for very long but the waiter only served the people came later than me who spoke Bulgarian. When I and another group of two Chinese people asked for seats, the waiter just wanted to let us go and told us all of the seats on the whole day were booked, whereas multiple tables are free inside and outside. I continued waiting for seats and discovered more people left, more tables became free. It ended up with me sitting at a small table that I saw people left and no one else came to it. In the whole restaurant, no more people came after me and obviously the “fully booked” saying was a lie. When I went to the toilet, I also found the other floor was fully empty with loads of tables (like in picture 2). Furthermore, when ordering the garlic bread, the waiter didn’t tell us that there is bread included in the set, but just let us unconsciously ordered way too many breads. The lie of the waiter was kind of racist, even though the food was good, I won’t come again and won’t recommend any people who think they are potentially racially discriminated by this restaurant.

5 /5 Cristi Braisteanu: Rodina was the perfect choice for our recent celebration, and I cannot recommend it enough. We visited as a party of four to celebrate two birthdays, and from the moment we arrived the team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and looked after. Their hospitality was warm, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive – exactly the kind of service that makes an occasion special. The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the incredible food. We had what must be one of the largest meat platters I have ever seen, beautifully presented and even better to taste. Every piece was cooked to perfection – juicy, flavourful, and impossible to resist. Alongside the meats came a fresh and vibrant salad and their outstanding mozzarella bread, which was simply addictive. Despite our best efforts, there was far too much to finish, which says everything about the portion size and generous value - at £69 for the feast we enjoyed, it felt like an unbelievable price for both the quality and the quantity. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the effort made for our birthdays was noticed and appreciated. Thank you to the entire Rodina team!

1 /5 jekaterina sinetskaja: We are the regular customers at the place. The food usually is very good, the service is hit and miss depending on who is serving you. Today, the service was absolutely appalling. Total ignorance from both waiters walking 10 times up and down the aisle who were deliberately ignoring empty plates and empty glasses of our table. I must say, however, they were dancing around some tables where were Bulgarians or apparently their acquaintances.We have tried in total 3 times to attract "our" waiter attention. All attempts successfully unnoticed. Eventually on one of his defelles he silently grabbed ONE of the empty glasses and walked away. Needless to say he did nor bother to ask whether we would like another drink. Tired of trying to get waiter to be served we asked for the bill and departed. We tend to leave generous tips even for somewhat mediocre service. Today, however experience was truly disgusting, clearly biased and could set an example of what is opposite of hospitality. I would give double-zero if that were possible.
